I'm an old gamer, 47 and going strong.
Learned about you through PCPOWERPLAY and grabbed Kingpin which I am running at the moment, and enjoying immensely.
Recommending GOG to anyone I can tell...and having a blast.
Right now Under A Killing Moon is downloading, a game I have not been able to run for years thanks to XP.
GOG did what we have wanted companies to do for years, put their old catalogue on download, charge a minimal fee, no shipping, no DRM..no hassles.
Looking forward to some nostalgic moments...these old games are the real thing, gameplay and not flashy graphics that hide a lack of real content.
Thanks, folks.

Welcome to the forums. :)
Welcome aboard!
I'm only 5 years behind you, so I share the same sentiment!
Yes, this is one of the best websites in my opinion. Welcome!
Ah, another victim of PCPP promotion... I joined here because of that, too (used my code for Lionheart, btw).
It's kind of embarrassing how mercilessly GOG's service model crushes those of other digital outlets, even when the same game is on sale.

Because you can get a game here (We'll say Soldiers: Heroes of WW2) for 9.99 and the other retailer will say 23.95 for the same game with no added content.
Welcome to the forums!
Also, you will see in time how awesome the customer service and tech support is around here, unlike other outlets...

*coughs* Steam *Coughs*
Glad you enjoyed Kingpin. FWIW Kingpin is a very good, but somewhat flawed, FPS. Too bad no one else has the courage to do something like that these days. After Fallout 2, Kingpin was (and still is) the only game with explicit words that were too humorous that one almost started taking them seriously

What? No Postal 2!?
Welcome my good individual! :)
Ahhh, PCPP, I subscribed to that for years, two meters away from me is three piles of several years of its archives, going back as far as about 1997!
I've not bothered with print mags much any more, but I'm a little surprised they are still going, as they don't turn up at the local newsagent I visit. (Or at least, I've not noticed them)
I got UAKM to run in less than a few minutes. Runs windowed....hmph,. I'll solve it. :p

The site is testament to that, a very simplified and easy to navigate menu system and the download area is neatly laid out.
Pandora Directiver is next (I have the discs for both on my shelf).
Steam is okay but the kicker is if Steam goes under...so do the games.I prefer discs or executables I can play at my leisure.

Welcome to GOG!
I found out about GOG thanks to the PCPP forums, and I was equally rapt when they offered a free GOG game.
EDIT: GOG GOG OOG. There, it's out of my system.
