tinyE: I've never heard that.
I have a book about Dunkirk, unfortunately it's at my parents' place. The story was told in there. It's a shame that I can't recall the dry comment the leader of the Coldstreams made when they finally met the allied invasion forces.
They survived that long because some of them could speak near accent free German and they stole German uniforms. So they could go "shopping" in the surrounding villages.

KasperHviid: I had a bit of the same problem with Postal 2, which lets the player snuffs homosexual and muslim terrorists. It gives the game a certain right-wing flair that I find less inviting.
Postal 2 right wing? You know this game is a parody, right?

toxicTom: From what I gathered there is a (in-)famous massacre scene.
Allow me to link a picture, not sure if it counts as spoilers or not. I'd guess it depends on whether you know Spec Ops: The Line inspiration.

toxicTom: I'd like to give it a go. Problem is - Steam required.
You could also play it on consoles, not sure if that's better or worse for you though ;)

Nice picture you linked. Not spoilery IMO.

Consoles don't help since I own none, unfortunately. Well, there's always the "little detour option" I did with Skyrim (which I got as a present from someone who knows exactly how much I like the TES games). Not sure if I want to spend my own money on a Steam-only game, though it sure looks interesting.
Amazon wishlisted for the time being, maybe someone "solves" the problem for me.

PS: Didn't know it was from a German team. The Yager people.

Sure, its a parody ... but as some blogger pointed out: "Postal 2 seems to have some evidence of self-awareness. Mobs that attack the player include book-burners and opponents of video games. Considering its self-consciousness, how does the “fag hunter” mini level fit in?"

tinyE: I love military games (Commandos, CoD, BiA, Blitzkrieg, IL-2, Soldiers, etc etc etc) but today being June 6th (a big deal in the States) I'm wondering if I should feel guilty about having so much fun playing these things in light of what they are based on and what they aim to recreate.
By coincidence, my Panzer General 2 campaign "Defending the Reich" had progressed to the mission where I had to fight back the landing forces on D-Day and the days after on Friday. It felt strange, but for me it's an unideological game with a realistic background which I prefer to fantasy. For me, it's not about killing people, but an enjoyment and a challenge to reach the best possible result with the given resources.
