Huh, I forgot to check for PoR and RD, I have both of those, I also have Seisen no Keifu in good condition with box and manual on Super Famicom and Sacred Stones, I got that new in 2009 on Amazon for $20 and it's currently going $80+ new there. I also bought 50% of a copy with box and manual of Fuin no Tsurugi, I didn't have the seventy dollars at the time, so I got a friend to help me with that. He actually speaks and reads Japanese, and I'm an amateur by three year old standards, so he gets it first.

It used to be that the most valuable game in my collection was Marvel vs Capcom 2 for the Playstation 2. The value of this game however has gone down quite a bit due to it being released digitally on the PlayStation 3 and X-Box 360. Now the most valuable game in my collection is Pokemon Heart Gold which is currently around $40 to $50 used.

Wow, I didn't know my Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance could be sold for $65! That's an actually pretty awesome bit of info, 227, I could use the money and I honestly don't like the game all that much... finished it twice, it's a pretty good game, but not my cup of tea, I only bought it so I could have something to play until Twilight Princess came out.

well, i suppose this would be pretty much the only "good" reason to buy boxed games... Unfortunately when games still actually game in boxes, they cost so much i couldnt afford to buy some game and then leave it in plastic for few decades to wait and see if their value would rise.

I still have some game boxes at my mothers place, but they do look quite used and the cds/disks look pretty much the same.

No i am not really expecting that some super valuable game would suddenly popup from my past.

Yes, it's one of the most expensive PS1 titles along with Megaman Legends 2 and a few others.

Older games always tend to have massively inflated prices for new copies. Just look at how much you'd have to pay on Amazon to pick up a new copy of Lufia 2 for the Super Nintendo, for example. $790 is the cheapest price. I'm jealous of your Seisen no Keifu, though; that's one of those games that desperately needs an English release. Too bad it'll probably never happen on account of all the incest, murder, child sacrifice, and cult stuff.

So I looked up a few other games and apparently my copy of Mega Man V for the Game Boy could sell for $70 used. Not that surprising since it's a great game, but it's still crazy that a little square cartridge could be worth so much.

Yeah, most older Fire Emblem games end up fetching a fairly high price after awhile because they always seem to print too few copies. I don't think Nintendo realized how mainstream-friendly the series is until Awakening got a ton of attention and became one of the big selling points of the 3DS.

It's currently available in my country for few bucks. But a copy which runs on XP and on XP only :( I envy you, that's a gem :> I can't believe I owned collector's edition of BFME2 with an expansion and sold it like 8 years ago. And owned it again year later. AND SOLD IT AGAIN THEN! ;-(

I don't have any extremely valuable games in my collection (like Earthbound, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Hagane). The ones that i think are the most valuable are:

System Shock 2 (complete with the big box)
Earthworm Jim 2 for the Saturn (complete)
Nights into dreams for the Saturn (complete)
Conker Live and Reloaded for the Xbox (complete)
Grim Fandango (in a DVD case)

Whoa, Earthbound is selling for... way more than one would expect. Okay, yeah, that's apparently the most valuable game I have.

Yeah, after years and years of waiting for a VC release got discouraged and just decided to pick up the physical copy, unfortunately my Japanese is poor at best (although I am better with onomatopoeia than my friend who's been studying for years) and I have to use a translated script while I memorize the commands. But adolescents, the target demographic, love stuff like incest, murder, child sacrifice, and cult stuff...maybe we shouldn't give them the satisfaction...

I actually forgot I had it for a while, I actually really like the game, I just couldn't imagine it would be worth so much. Also, I found 2 to be the most enjoyable anyway especially with the expansion. I have the unofficial rule that I just don't sell any of my games, which most would probably not be worth a lot anyway my Gamecube boxes are all punctured, just in case I want to play them again years later which leads to not a lot of space with all the games I have.

Damn, never thought of checking out the value of any of my physical games. The most expensive one I could think of would be Silent Hill 2. Sadly many of my oldest retail games are in German or are a multilingual version coming in a German box which probably largely reduces the value of many of those.
