mrkgnao: THE GIVEAWAY IS OVER. YOU CAN STILL TAKE A LOOK AT MY BOOK. IT DOESN'T BITE. USUALLY.
After almost seven years of composition, exasperation and procrastination, I have finally published my first novel.
To celebrate and promote it in the only online community I belong to, I thought I'd do a small giveaway.
I'll be giving out 3 games to 3 randomly-chosen people:
1) one $10 GOG game of your choice
2) one $10 GOG game of your choice
3) one $6 GOG game of your choice
You don't have to do anything to participate in the givewaway beyond posting here. There's no rep or join-date limit. The giveaway will end sometime on Saturday, 18 January.
If you think you might be interested in reading a work of literary fiction with a distinct folktale undertone, please visit the book's page on
Amazon, where you may find a not-necessarily-scrutable book description, as well as read a sizeable sample. If you don't, don't (unless you want to look at what I believe is a really cool cover image).
Thanks.
P.S. Although the novel is currently available only as a Kindle ebook, let this not deter you, for that can be read nowadays on practically any computer, tablet or smartphone out there (as explained
here). O, and on Kindles too.
P.P.S. The book is also available on other Amazon websites (uk, ca, au, fr, de, es, it, in, jp, br, mx), should you find these more convenient.
I was wondering how your book was doing. Have you found a publisher? Agent?
My agent search has come to nil so far, but I haven't put forth the effort in the past year (new babies do that!). But I'm hoping to garner some interest with a local printer.
have you checked out Smashwords? I'm working on getting The Darkest Wand over there (which is on Groupees community bundle right now!) and testing the waters. Amazon gives such a good royalty for exclusivity that it really helped me out for a while. I was on lulu and Amazon at the same time and Lulu's low royalty and low customer base compared to Amazon made exclusivity an easy choice. But Smashwords looks like they have a lot of fans.
Anyhoots, I hope your writing life is going well. Peace!
