I'm at a lost right now, I have no way of playing The Witcher 3 when it comes out.
It'll be years before I can afford to get a machine that will run it, anybody got any idea's how to stay unspoiled till then?

Also has their been mention of any linux [native?] support yet?

Were the specs to run it published? Just from the preview they seem sky high.

No specs yet, here's a quote from the publisher:
"We can’t give you the system requirements because the game is not optimized yet. The optimization process is usually the last stage of the project, so we will be able to give you this information closer to the launch in February 2015."

Well my computer can't run TW2(had to play it on my xbox 360 even though I own a steam/gog copy) so I'm pretty sure it won't run TW3..

You can save money until TW3 is out. Maybe you can build a new gaming PC by then... ;)

Mine could barely just barely play witcher 2. I wouldn't worry about it that much.

No one could play TW3 at release date. :P Everyones got to wait a few years for the technology to catch up.

Im going to guess the minimum specs will be similar to games like Watch Dogs and the upcoming Dead Rising 3 PC port. Since the game does have to run on consoles, though we don't know what equivalent settings that will be on PC. Going by those games minimums I'm going to guess it will be around

My PC would barely beat that. Though I have a bit more faith in CD Projekt to release a proper PC version at the start and not need a bunch of patches later on to make the game run acceptably. Still I'm holding off a bit before pre-ordering to think it over as getting a new PC is far far off in my current budget.

Ooooh I hope so FicVis - I'm in good shape for that (the 560 is junk, sorry!) and all I'll need to upgrade will be my video card. I'm actually "due" for a video card upgrade now, but I can run all the stuff I have any interest in playing, as I want to play so I haven't bothered. Six months or so and I'll grab a tier or so below "bleeding edge" (I have no need and / or desire for that, brah ;) ). My only "bummer" moment will be if I need to upgrade my PSU to run the new GPU... I HATE replacing power sources! I never understood the need for a modular power source... until I upgraded to one that wasn't and my case was suddenly all "Dr. Octopus" with freakin' cords I had no need for. I HATE my PSU, but I lament that it's the one component in my computer I should upgrade! (it's such an "unsexy" upgrade).

I don't get it. Welcome to PC gaming?

In other words, new AAA stuff coming down the pike will likely require more 'grunt' to run it. Been this way since the first flight sims arrived on the scene and it now applies to a whole mess of action titles.

As far as staying 'unspoiled' while you bide your time... maybe try Gothic 1 and 2.

GEFORCE GTX 650 1GB (The most I could afford to replace an ATI Radeon 4650 1GB that went bye bye)

So I'm a bit below on the CPU but I have no clue of the graphic card. Is there a site where they sort graphic card by performance?

Here you can have a look how the GTX 650 compares to other GPUs (the review is based around the MSIs overclocked GTX650 but in the graphs there is the normal GTX650 version also).

Mine can´t even run W1... At least I won´t feel spoiled since I even started the sries LOL

Anyways, hardware price/performance ratio seems to be getting better every year, if you forget about the flagship products which are always overpriced.
