Hi guys! I saw this game on steam store, and i really like it. Survival horror mmo, that is so damn awesome!
I think i am going to buy it. But i saw that the minimum system req are 2.4 quad core processor :/ , is that true ?
I dont think that is 2.4 gz quad is for the minimum, but you never know. So is any1 playing this game?
I am plaling to get it but dont know if i will able to run it on my lap top..... i hope it will run on medium settings smooth but only if it req a dual core not a quad.... btw, i play skyrim and borderlans 2 on high settings even they req a quad for recommended, they runs very smooth.

My spec are:
2.4 gz Dual Core
4 gb ram
AMD 7670m 1gb

Thanks for your time guys ! Cheers! :)

From the offical site.

Minimum
Os: Windows Vista/Windows 7 64-bit OS
Processor: 2.4 GHZ Quad Core or Better
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GTX 460/ATI Radeon HD 5850
DirectX: Version 9.0
Network: Broadband Internet Connection
Hard Drive: 3GB Available Space
Sound Card: Windows Compatible Sound Card
Internet Browser: IE 10 / Firefox 25.0.1 / Chrome 30

And

Recommended
Os: Windows 7 64-bit OS
Processor: 2.4 GHZ Quad Core or Better
Memory: 4 GB RAM
DirectX: Version 9.0
Network: Broadband Internet Connection
Hard Drive: 3GB Available Space
Sound Card: Windows Compatible Sound Card

I am kinda confused here because its the same think only for the recommended is without Graphics. :/
I heard there is a guest key that you can play 72h with it... so i will try to get that frist, to see if it will run. I hope yes, because i really like this game.

Looks like the minimum recommendation is one thing, but that they recommend you play the game without a video card or a web browser. LOL

Seriously though, I've got an 8-core processor and I've ran a boatload of games on it everything as far back as the old 80's DOS games GOG has, up through the 90s, 00s, and current games from this year also which have very high system requirements. I have a dual monitor setup and I leave a system monitor running on my spare monitor to keep an eye on CPU and memory usage of the games I run and quite honestly I have not seen a single game utilize all 8 cores of my processor yet (nor have I expected to). In fact, the majority of games are either single threaded and only run on one core, or they are multithreaded but run only on 2 cores. I've only found a few games that use up to 4 cores and when I say "use", only one or two of the used cores is used to 90-100% while the other cores are used barely at all, maybe 10-40% tops.

From a technical perspective it is rather complicated for a game to break up its workload in such a way that it is both easily parallelizeable, and in such a way that maximizes the use of all CPU cores it will be using. As a result, most games even that use multiple cores - do so rather inefficiently at best, and there isn't a heck of a lot of difference between running the game on a processor with 2 cores compared to one with 3 or more cores. There might be the odd game out there that is an exception to this, and there might be the odd computer hardware combination someone has that more parallelization is noticed, but those would be the exceptions and not the general rule.

What is far more important for the overwhelming majority of video games both old and new, is the clock speed of the processor, and single threaded performance. In other words, you'll find that most games will run faster on a dual core processor at say 3.2GHz than on a quad or more core processor at 2.6GHz - assuming GPU, memory and other potential bottlenecks aren't limiting things.

So from personal experience I would be a little skeptical of a game specifying a quad core processor as a minimum system requirement, and would want to see a screenshot of a CPU core monitoring app running while the game is going full tilt on another monitor and see it showing all 4 cores pumping out full tilt. Alas, even with crazy ass game titles I've yet to see that happen personally.

Your mileage may vary of course.
