This is a digital Distribution website. So they download to your computer. A quick look at the main page tells that.

Well, I must have missed that. Thanks anyway.
You download an installer that installs the entire game so the downloads are quite large, then you can make a backup of the installer or delete it because you can download it again if you ever need to. Also whenever you click any of the games in your collection, you can download extra content like graphics, soundtracks, manuals, and sometimes things like comics, or wallpapers, avatars, etc.
Hi!

As to your original question, they're downloadable games, which you can backup as needed:

"1. How do I download my purchased games?
As soon as you complete the checkout process, you will be redirected to an order confirmation screen with a list of ordered games and download links. Also, every game you purchase gets added to your “My account” page, so if you ever need to redownload a game, that's the place you want to visit."

This link should give you all the info you need:

I registered, but never had a chance to play, and forgot how it works here. The hours of my job at the time got hectic....Why the hell do you care anyway??

I apologize if you interpreted my question as an attack of any kind, hence the smiley, but I was just surprised given your registration date. Again, my apologies, and I certainly didn't mean to cause any offense.

Welcome to GOG.

You should mark HijacK's post as the answer so the thread show the question has been answered and he'll also get some rep if he cares about it.

With that said, I just checked the main page and I don't see where it shows that this is a digital distribution site but I'm a bit tired so maybe I'm missing it.

It's on the bottom of the main page. The Terms of Use section. It's not literally on the front page, and not visible either, but it's there.

Right, got it.
