In a little over a week, I start a new job in a lateral move. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to display my skills and hopefully the new job will have a better atmosphere than my current employer. it has also been about 2 months since my last giveaway. I won a couple giveaways since then and here's my bi-monthly "Pay It Forward".

The crunchy bits (aka the Rules):

1) The giveaway will run until Friday, May 23, although I reserve the right to close it early if entries die down. Also in that vein, feel free to bump the thread if you wish.

2) Entry Requirements: In light of issues regarding reputation, I'm going to do something a little different. I'm going to make a decision by the seat of my pants. Here is how it is going to work. I'm going to throw every name into the pool. After each draw, I will do a quick forum search (if necessary). If I don't like what I see, I might disqualify you for the better prizes at my own discretion. For the vast majority of people (read: almost everybody), this will not come into play, but if all you've ever done in these forums is beg for games, I hope you want the Witcher or Dungeon Keeper. I think of it this way, your actual reputation is how you have presented yourself on these forums, not some silly number. In fact, if I really like what I see and you win the "Grand Prize", you may receive a little added bonus. (see below)

3) Since I like this rule, you must have an avatar that is not the default. You also must have a title that is not "New User".

4) These gifts are for your own use only and to be redeemed by you the winner. They are not meant to be traded. To be fair, enter for yourself only.

5) Please list which prizes you'd like in order of preference. Just saying you are in does not suffice. If it's not clear what you are in for, you are out. One prize per winner.

I'm willing to wait up to an additional week, if necessary, so that you may take advantage of any promos to enhance your prize (basically from giveaway end to the next weekend's promo). As an added incentive for esteemed and generous members of our community, I will raise the prize to $10 of games. People like Foxworks, or Sachys or Momo or Thespian or too many to mention. You are the people who have made these forums. This is a small token of my appreciation for your efforts. (These are U.S. dollars in the rare case of regional pricing)

I left my old job because it was causing me stress and making me depressed. My co-workers and employees were great, but for me it had always been just a "job" and not fulfilling at all. Now I'm self employed and it can be a little stressful. I don't make as much money (yet) but I'm much, much happier with my "career" and life in general.

That works. I'm just trying to avoid what has happened a couple times when I've had a list of games and I get "I'm in". Leaves me wondering in for what and which game would they prefer.

well i prefer to say what im in for and if i dont get a draw on that one id rather go out with nothing than a game i wouldnt enjoy playing :D

To make it more clear, almost everyone is eligible for prize #1 unless you are a total asshat or pretty much have never posted to the forum until today. And if I'm in a good mood on draw day, the latter may still win. I can think of many people with negative rep who are completely eligible like stg83 and grunthos64.

Feel free, although I think each individual rule I've seen elsewhere on the forums in some form, so I do not think its my effort alone. I'm only the one who put them all into the same ruleset. Think of it as the best rules GoG forum members have devised.

Once I punched my boss in the stomach because he was being an asshole. Another time while taking a phone order, my boss ( same asshole) kick the back of my knee causing my to slam my knee into the counter I was standing on, so I politely handed the phone to the boss, and walked out the door. He chased me down and would not let me quit. We are still friends and keep in touch even I moved 450 miles away.

I'd like to share for my optional story. I hate retail, been there for years. Never been well enough to leave. Finally healthy enough so I am moving on. The pay sucks, no benefits, and you have a crapload of work to do on time limits =P As well with dealing with 8 different managers on different days, not all are on the same page as I have to repeat myself often. >_> And finally so I can leave from that a$$hat manager that pushed me at work, I hope he enjoys the rest of his days there in old age =P Karma is a b**ch and will get to him eventually, don't have to lift a finger, its just how fate works. This is why im leaving my old job. Always planned too. I just got alot more reasons now.

So yeah there is a light at the end of the tunnel if all goes well. Hopefully I won't get hit =P
