Elmofongo: But sadly I must offer a complaint, this situation is a cautionary tale of not to "fix"/edit/alter/tamper with something that was never broken in the first place.

I personally dislike the whole point of changing of whole interface because in some cases it is not necesarry. Youtube is a prime examle. (And Facebook and Twitter as I have heard.
Hold that thought until we get everything done and then let us know what you think once we get over the initial bumps in the road, ok? :)
