To start i seemed to have lost/misplaced my savegame for cognition episode 2, anyone can help?

I know what you mean though, i dont remember what game it was, early to mid 90s fps game, i managed to die and accidently saved the game with me dead instead of loading the save. I dont think i ever restarted the game. (rage quit i guess)

And I don't know, cognition tends to be a very slow game, i don't think i even was that far in the game.
And i usually tend to just restart but i try to prevent it this time. Still it won't beat the 25 hours of gameplay i lost with icewind dale, thats also a game i rage quit. ;) though i tend do retry it again soonish with the gog version.

Oh! This reminds me when I lost my entire hard drive with my games and saves, several years ago... I'm still angry when I remember my very high D2 characters lost forever... 300 hrs? 400 hrs of gaming to the toilet?

this happened to me on 3 playthroughs of DX HR - savegame corruption (something i belive they still havent solved for those of us that suffered it).
eventually gave up.

not so handy for games like that, but definately good for lots of other games. nice idea!
