My favourite FPS is the first Doom. Very satisfying gunplay with great music and perfect bite-sized chunks of gameplay.

My favorite shooter is Serious Sam, old -school but so funny when you are surrounded by waves of monsters !

I have real issues with FPS games as they give me vicious motion sickness (i.e. nausea and migraines), so I really don't play too many. Still, my favorite would have to be Left 4 Dead.

In for it. Doom 2 is still my favorite. Nothing tops the end level with 3 other guys and mass mayhem.

if System Shock 2 counts as a shooter, then that's my favourite one, due to its great atmosphere.

If not, then that's a bit harder. There were a couple of shooters that I really liked for one reason or another. Those includes DOOM 2, NOLF, SWAT 4 (does it count) & AvP (1999).

Honourable mentions goes to Quake 1 & Team Fortress 2, for their great multiplayer modes. Those are the only shooters that I've been willing to play for more than a few h in multiplayer with strangers.

No one Lives Forever - definitely, with SiN coming in second ( had destructible environment, secondary and tertiary objectives and vehicular action - way before its time )

My favourite shooter at the moment is Duke Nukem 3D, I just recently finished playing through it (first time for me) and I loved it!
