The thrilling conclusion to the Blackwell series.

The Blackwell Epiphany, the fifth supernatural murder and mystery story in Wadjet Eye Games old-school point-and-click series with classic 2D graphics and a chilling story, is available on GOG.com for $14.99.

A dead man’s soul cries out against the force of a ferocious blizzard. He cries for help. He cries for answers. Then he screams as he is torn apart like damp tissue paper. This wasn't the first time, and it won’t be the last. The police are powerless to stop it, so the duty falls to the only ones who can. What force could be so powerful--and so malevolent--that it would destroy the very core of a life in order to get what it wants? Rosa Blackwell and Joey Mallone mean to find out, even if it means risking themselves in the process.

The Blackwell Epiphany serves as the fifth and final installment of the supernatural murder-mystery adventure series from Wadjet Eye Games. As usual, the game is a real treat for the fans of classic point-and-click gameplay and traditional hand-crafted 2D graphics. The game is longer than any of the previous ones, and--being the climax to Rosa Blackwell's story--it promises more excitement, drama, and danger. Our heroine and her opacity-impaired partner, the spirit-sleuth Joey Mallone, will face their ultimate challenge. Can you see them safe through it?

Stretch your wrist and warm up your mouse, as you're up for some serious pointing and clicking in The Blackwell Epiphany, for $14.99 on GOG.com.

Kardwill: Yes, it's a matter of impression. I'm an adventure and strategy fan, and I sometimes have the impression that most new games here are 2D platformers ^^
Yes, definitely a wrong impression. From the last 20 releases just two were platformers. A lot more were adventures and RPGs.
Edit: Forget about the RPGs: Just Risen 1+2 and Sudeki inthe last twenty releases. But still more than platformers.

Yeah in last two months there were only 3 strategy games released :(
I somewhat enjoyed the original four games, but if the length of Epiphany is anything like that of the original four titles, then I really would rather wait for a price drop.

That being said, Dave, if you're reading this, a DRM-free boxed set containing all five games and some nice extras (soundtrack, videos etc.) would be an instabuy for me at around $30, even though I already have the first four digitally.

Epiphany is a bit longer than Deception; it's still fairly short though. My time played shows four hours.

most blackwell games are short , it only takes longer if you are trying to get all the achievements , i am sure they have added a achievement where you need to have the developer commentary mode on to extend the gameplay time
Nice! Finished 4 last night, time to sink my teeth in.

Yup, there is an achievement for that! I haven't done it yet though, I'm going to play them all through again in commentary mode. :)
Been playing the game for a bit over an hour now. Loving it! In some way it is better than some bigger budget adventure games I've played. *cough* Broken Age *cough* =P Somehow it just feels like there is more heart poured into it. *shrug* Plus it helps that I'm a sucker for detective/noir style settings.

Can't wait to play some more after work today. :)
I'm so excited! I wish I could play this right now, but I have so many final projects :/
I have played the first four games; liked the second the most. Unbound had a priceless atmosphere and Lauren is my favourite character.
You know, I would buy this here but: soundtrack only for preorders? Nope.
It would be interesting to know what gog.com thinks about vexatious things like preorder-exclusive content. Because I can't imagine that they are really ok with this spawn of business-greed.

FMIW, I'm also one of those that was not cool with the pre-order exclusives, but it was the dev's decision - he run the same pre-order on his own site; oddly enough, he also told people that GOG doesn't do pre-orders, no idea where he got that from though.
And he said that he's going to sell the pre-order exclusives separately after the release.
No time to play with such a huge backlog of games, but SOOO wishlisted.
Though, since no one is around to look through (and grant) the list of wishes, this should be called a "personal to-do list" ;)
i just finished the 3rd game. These games are so special :)
Just really great storytelling and fun puzzles.
I've just finished the game and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. An awesome ending of an awesome Blackwell saga! We definitely need more games like this!

Yeah, I knew Dave Gilbert will have the guts to pull off this ending... Didn't expect it to be so world-changing... and I guessed who the villain is even before the game started :)
Still, powerful conclusion to the series and really well made game.
Well deserved pre-order :)
