You might not think that a hospital sim could be so funny, but remember: laughter is the best medicine!

Welcome to the GOG.com clinic! As a treatment for typical symptoms of moderngameboringus--lack of creativity, no sense of humor, and mindless repetition--we recommend a wonderful insta-cure: Theme Hospital for a co-pay of only $5.99!

Theme Hospital is a hospital management simulation. You need to fill the empty building with all sorts of hospital equipment, starting from desks and file cabinets, to ultra-sophisticated diagnostic machinery like DNA fixer or Head Inflator: you know, equipment every hospital needs. Then you hire all necessary staff members like doctors, nurses, handymen, or receptionists, and once everything’s set up, treat patients as they come in suffering from a variety of humourous illnesses, including Hairyitis, Bloaty Head, and even Slack Tongue (caused by over-discussion of soap operas!).

Theme Hospital is all about the little details: staff personalities, patients vomiting, doctors chilling in the staff room, and fantastic comedic cutscenes. Your hospital requires not only the best staff and equipment but pool tables, soda machines, radiators, and plants to keep your patients and doctors alike happy. Fans of micromanagement will be pleased, but so will fans of fun!

Do what it takes to make the world a better place: pick up Theme Hospital for $5.99 on GOG.com today!

SirPrimalform: Since no one else has asked yet... is this the windows version or is it just in DOSBox?

I don't think there was anything inferior with the DOS version, the only reason I ask is because I DOSBoxed this by myself just fine ages ago.
If they've managed to get the Windows version running smoothly, that's something to be commended
i doubt it's the Windows version. GOG almost always goes for DOS versions since they're so trivial to get to run through DOSBOX.
This game is soooo awesome that I'm NOT going to buy it at the moment. I have some things that I cannot allow myself to screw up and I know I would with this game on my hard disk. That's my cruel life... But don't worry 'Theme Hospital' I will get you sooner or later...

keeveek: If they brought Theme Hospotal, theme PArk is very likely to be here also :) (soon)
Seems just very unlike GOG (or does it?) to release sequels first.
I've never played this, but I have seen it requested many, many times. I think there will be several heads exploding from surprise and delight today. :)
You forgot Pest Control
*Shoots rat with a shotgun*
At last! One of the best games I've ever played.

Now just waiting for Genewars and Powermonger - nothing else matters.
Some of you complain on EA but I just love them for bringing their catalog to GOG.

Yeah, the DOS version is every bit as good and doesn't have the speed issues of the Windows version on modern PCs. I've managed to get the Windows version running fine on some modern PCs, not on others. It's a fiddly bastard at the best of times.
