And more importantly, which way is up?

Where Is My Heart?, a cute and original indie puzzle platformer that will go out of its way to the point of brutally shattering itself just to unscrupulously mess with your perspective, is available 10% off for Windows and Mac OS X on GOG.com. That's only $7.19 for the first week.

All this, is based on a semi-true story of a family of forest spirits. The family lives comfortably in a tree in the woods until one day they lose their home and thus embark on a great adventure. Their journey will take them through the mushroom caves and even deeper down to the lifeless crystal pools and back up into the mountains.

Where is my Heart? offers a unique gameplay experience - the world is broken up into fragments, which you have to piece back together in your mind. It gets even more complicated as you proceed. The Rainbow Spirit allows you to rotate the world around and jump across space. The Bat King can see hidden platforms which only exist for him. Help the three spirits find their home tree again!

Step into the magical world only to find yourself stumbling and falling as someone has stolen the ground beneath your feet and twisted your surroundings. Get Where is my Heart? for only $7.19 on GOG.com. The 10% off release discount lasts until Thursday, June 5, at 4:00PM GMT.

Pica-Ludica: Well, this looks disorientating, that's for sure. xD Love the pixel graphics and the concept looks interesting!

But my backlog already has quite a lot of puzzle platformers, and I'm not really in the mood for them at the moment. I'll wishlist this for now. :)
Personally speaking, I don't really see this game as a puzzle platformer, more like a collection of puzzles that have a smidge of platforms. Traversing the world is the puzzle here :D

Eh. There's platforms. They're hard to get to. The player jumps between them. That's enough to qualify as a platformer.

'Traversing the world' is also the problem/puzzle in the Mario games. Those are definitely platformers.

Wishlisted for now, because it looks interesting. I'm just not a fan of the genre.

ps. any chance to get controller working on mac?
It does look nice, but the video and images made me want to throw up with all those split screens. It just felt disorienting for my brain. :-(

I believe that Ps3 bluetooth controllers will work on a Mac with no added software required.

xbox controller works well in many mac games too, but in this particular game it looks like controller support is not implemented at all (yet...)
Looks like an interesting challenge. Another one that I'll wishlist until the reviews start coming in.

Thanks for the info, I've added it to the missing soundtrack resource thread.
Oooooh! THAT game! I saw the release post but somehow didn't register what game it's for. Played it at a friend's place on PS3. Really good game.
I was just looking at this on the coming soon section of Steam the other day - yeah, looks interesting
Title reminds me of The Pixies too, which is always a bonus!

Today, I had some time to play it on Vita and as much as I hate puzzlers, I really like how this games plays with small puzzles which really more on "navigation" and observation than logic. It's better than the average puzzlers we get weekly on PC, recommended. :)
Nice release.
