On a serious note though i just dont get the interest, I struggle to watch much of the normal Olympics, i only watch 1 event in the Paralympics but only to show my support to a friend.

This is a horrible question, but do you have a life? :P If so I would think the Olympics would be boring. I'm not complaining mind you, and I can only speak for myself, but for better or worse I do have a lot of free time and when the Olympics are on they are always on and it's something to follow, albeit silly and ultimately kind of pointless, but shit it beats watching CSPAN and Gomer Pike reruns. Yeah sitting up at 3 am with rapt attention watching ice dancing isn't going to earn me whole lot of other peoples respect but it's fun and I dig it.

The Winter Olympics are much better than the Summer ones - they have the added bonus of genuine danger in the alpine events.

Yeah, watching people skiing down a steep slope at 70 miles an hour has a lot more entertainment value than watching people running in circles for half an hour.

Unless of course the Russians heat up the mountain to screw over the noble Latvian contenders, those cheating fucks.

So that explains why the snow has been so melty! And there was me thinking it was because some idiot had decided to have the Olympics at a sub-tropical resort.

I think the gentleman in this video would respectfully disagree with you folks about the lack of danger in Summer events. :D

If you look at the other team's starting time's a lot of them have 2x the same starting time. Given that, 4 times is certainly within the realm of possibility.

Indeed. If you look at top 5 guys, they have all 4 start times within interval of 0.03 sec. And top 3 within 0.02 sec.

But I it was other way around the officials bribed that Russian to have the exactly same times so they have this kind of anomaly in their competition. They do it beacuse otherwise no one would know about their crazy sport and this draw attention.

So yeah, the match was bribed. :-p
