im a Bethesda Whore, i would give them my first born child....
that being said, FO3 has NOTHING on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. its better in every way and its one of the few games that's ever gotten me completely sucked into the story... then again i love Russian culture so maybe that helps ^_^

I love the whole Chernobyl environment and situation, but just didn't like how it was presented in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (Fuck that's even more annoying to type out than spelling it out phonetically).

Weclock: you will once the dialogue sounds like this "when the dialogue is bad, you will want to go back to stalker."

fuNGoo: I don't get it. Is it an inside joke?
I actually find the dialogue very bearable and varied compared to Oblivion. I also turned the subtitles off so I don't read ahead and get the urge to read ahead and skip listening.
many of the dialogue choices are not really choices so much as just repeating exactly what the NPC said, it offers no real insight to the discussion and feels very hollow. As far as gameplay goes, the shooting element of FO3 is acceptable, but as far as storyline goes (non-dlc) the game falls very short and has no real right to call itself a Fallout game.

Meh... never really got into the original FO games because the isometric view never really drew me in. Kind of like how the original GTA games were fun but ultimately never fully realized until GTA III. Since I never played the original FO games, FO3 does the job well enough.

you'd probably be happier playing borderlands, and welcome back.

With S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Complete 2009, the game (for me) has been absolutely enthralling. The gun combat is challenging but fun (at least on Stalker difficulty), the voice acting is generally pretty good (when the actors aren't speaking in Russian), and the plot is nice too, although it basically hinges on your total ignorance of the zone and the people in it.
