Paingiver: In Windows 7 while playing a game by pressing "Print Screen" button, i want to capture the screen and save it as a file in a directory.

I don't want the primitive press "PrntScrn" then paste to "Paint" etc...

Miaghstir: Windows 7's built-in screenshot tool (I forget what it's called in English, and I certainly have no idea about Turkish) is quite good if you're not playing in full-screen. It does throw up a window to have you choose how to take the shot, with options regarding both area (full screen, window, rectangle selection, free-form selection) and how to save it (clipboard or file as png, jpg or gif).

Less annoying then having to open Paint and paste it in, but not the "one button instant action" you're probably looking for.

Miaghstir: I usually assign a keyboard shortcut instead (I'd guess one of the lesser used functions of Windows shortcuts).

Arteveld: That's what i use pinning for, You can start a pinned program with WinKey+number [representing the programs order], just like recalling focus for launched programs. ;)

Miaghstir: Rather than having it on the taskbar when I don't use it (I prefer the keyboard anyway and have no use of having it easily clickable), I assign alt-f12 to the shortcut (right-click the shortcut in the start menu, choose properties, and you can assign a keyboard shortcut there, works at least as far back as Win2000, maybe even 98, 95, and NT4).
