I discovered that I still have lying around codes for two RPG games that GOG offered for free some time ago.
So, I'm holding a small giveaway for new GOG members that have not received any gifts on this forum before.
It's not much, but hopefully a couple of folks will have fun playing these games.


Requirements

#1 Join date: on or after Jan 1, 2014 and before or on Apr 15, 2014. I didn't want to exclude those that joined in the first two weeks of April, but they need to provide some proof: Go into your Account and click on "Settings". You'll land on a page with a box labelled "Days on GOG.com" on the left. Take a screenshot that displays both your username and that box and attach it to your post.

#2 Rep: No special rep requirement besides positive value.

#3 No previous giveaways/ gifts received: If you've been the recipient of any gift on this forum, be it a specific giveaway or any of the regular giveaway threads, then you should let others try their luck. This one's hard for me to actually verify, so please be honest.


Rules

(1) You can enter only for yourself.
(2) You must redeem the game yourself.
(3) You can enter only for one game.
AMENDMENT: For the case that two or more entrants are interested in the same game, please also post your 2nd and 3rd choice.


How to enter

I. Tell me how you found out about GOG and what motivated you to join.
II. If you've already bought a game on GOG, tell me why you chose that specific game as your first purchase.
III. Tell me why you'd like the game you choose and why you haven't bought it yourself already.
AMENDMENT: Though you're asked to post a 2nd and 3rd choice, you only have to elaborate on your first choice.


Duration of giveaway and declaration of winners

Though this is an Easter Giveaway, I'll end this on the last day of the month - Apr 30, 2014 at 20:30 GMT.

Winners will be chosen by a dear person of mine based on your replies under the "How to enter" part, and announced a couple of days later.

I have tried to lay out all requirements, rules, etc in detail so that everything's clear - hope it's not overwhelming ;-P
If someone's not sure about something, just ask and I'll try to answer as best as possible.

EDIT: And one kind soul that chose to remain anonymous has gifted a copy of Dungeon Keeper Gold, so now the pot is up to three games. Big thanks to our fellow GOG member!

EDIT2: The pot's up to a total of six pirzes - three more games (The Witcher, Wing Commander 1+2 and Wing Commander 4) have been donated by another very kind fellow GOG member who also chose to stay anonymous. Many-many thanks to him/ her as well!!

EDIT5: As I failed to foresee the case of two or more entrants being interested in the same game, I've made two amendments that will hopefully help with pairing entrants and games in a way that'll make any winners happy.

Wow, this is very awesome of you. I'm in.

1-I first heard of GoG a few years ago, when I saw they had the Fallout series. I think I already had the games at the time. Then a few months back I found out that they had the Ultima series here and that Ultima IV was free. So I finally got the nerve to join. Came for the free games, stayed for the great community.

2- Sadly I have not bought a game on GoG(yet), due to not having a credit card and having to need other family members help for online shopping. I honestly wish that GoG had POSA cards.....

3-Realms of Arkania 1 + 2. I never herd about it, then after checking it's page I saw that it was awesome. I was sold on the fact that I can get the flu if I dont prepare carefully, I love that it emulates things that would happen in a tabletop. I have not bought it because I recently found out about it.

This is turning out to be a very odd giveaway - the games and donors are way more than the entrants, more on this a bit further down.

Maybe our new GOG members are busy with Easter Egg hunting or something? ;-P

I very much appreciate the bumps to keep the thread visible and I hope that my fellow GOG members will continue their effort to keep it so.
