Thanks for the tip. I will check it out later.
Darn Regional Restrictions. I'll go but the DVD boxset instead.

I can't seem to find a version that is region-coded for America. Maybe my PS3 can play it, since the device is region-free?
I've been trying to see this series for forever, and I really, really like it now. Two questions: What are Jaffa Cakes and why would I want them in my coat pocket?

First question:

Second question:
Who wouldn't.

lukaszthegreat: hotspot shield does not work. I tried it myself a week ago. Hulu detects it and says that proxies are not available.

Works fine now. I'm guessing the problem is Hulu has to fix holes from time to time, to keep up appearances of being a US-residents service only.
hey. it does.
thx man!
Did you guys hear that they were planning on making a US remake of Spaced. What's more, they didn't even consult Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright or Jessica Stevenson/Hein.
Glad you guys like the original, I always figured you needed a British perspective to enjoy it but I guess it does have trans-atlantic awesomeness.

Ralackk: That looks intresting, has anyone tried it yet?

TheCheese33: From what the article says, I gather that the users of the blog have used it successfully. Of course, I can't test it myself, since I'm in the United States. Your other option would be to wait until September, when they bring Hulu to the U.K., but I'm not sure if Spaced will be there forever, and I think that still leaves users from Australia and other countries out of luck.

Hulu in the UK in september?
Where did you hear that? this is potentially great news!

From the UK site The Telegraph.

Sometimes I like reading news sites from other countries, and this popped up around May this year.
Hotspot Shield sucks donkey balls when it comes to Hulu for me. So I use AOL 9 as a proxy, which actually holds the distinction of actually working for me. But Spaced is awesome.

Sadly yes. whyohwhy, at least it did not happen... They tried it with Red Dwarf, and did it with Life on Mars. grrr.
Mind you, I tend to avoid remakes no matter what country to country combination it is.

I hate to admit it, but I actually quite like the yank version of The Office. That said, as far as I know Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant had a lot of involvement with it.
Hulu specifically blocked Hotspot Shield (and a few other services) a month or so back... before that it worked pretty much all the time.
If it's working again now then I guess hotspot shield have changed their IP range or something...
