Jack is Life! Jack is Love! The Keaning is happening!

Most sales are just that: some nice deals, tons of games, some flowery marketing talk about those deals. Nothing more, nothing less. As you know, last year we ran our Fall Insomnia Promo with the usual expectations that follow a typical sale.

The Insomnia Promo was different. Very, very different. It morphed into something beyond our wildest expectations. Entire communities were staying awake for this sale. The RPG Codex was busily snapping up and all classic RPGs. 4chan's very own /v/ put aside their usual bickering about which console was best and started trying to find The Pattern (sorry guys, you didn't crack it :^) ). Meanwhile, Jack Keane acquired a cult following (JACK IS LOVE! JACK IS LIFE!) all the while collecting a flurry of 5 star reviews where gamers documented all sorts of miraculous manifestations of Jack's blessing in their lives. Lastly, the Insomnia promo garnered its own entry on our [url=http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/the_return_of_the_insomnia_sale]wishlist.

Welcome to our Spring Insomnia Sale! Back by popular demand*, we will be putting up 100 games in limited quantities** with discounts up to 90%. We'll have more games for sale than Noah had animals in his ark. Indies. Classics. Classic indies, even. All kinds of games for all kinds of gamers. However, you have to be fast, faster than those Polish script kiddies*** lurking outside our offices so they can get 0.1 ms of ping!

We did change things up a bit this year. While checking out, keep an eye peeled for a random chance to get a free game. Yes, this time there will be no more split second freebies so everyone has an equal chance :)

Football is the name of a large variety of games where you kick a ball to score a goal. Association football is the most popular football in the UK so people often shorten it to just football. In other places other types of football are more popular and they all have an equal claim to the word "football". Well, except maybe the Auzzies but nobody knows what's up with them.

If I check thirty minutes later, I see the same thing, while that's virtually impossible. When later I try to buy the game, it is offered at the non discounted price, so I understand that another game is up and this one's promotion is over.
What the hell? Does anyone else get this?

I tried closing the page and going to GOG again, same thing ...

Shackaz: Played a bit of Ringrunner during these sales! And i must say it is a wicked good game! I love the beauty of it.
It should win some kind of award. The story and game play are amongst the best I've seen in years. I wish it was more widely know.

Unfortunately many of the people I've spoken with think it's some kind of asteroids clone. >_<
(Which could not be farther from what this game is.)

If your not sure exactly what this game is please look up a trailer or YouTube vid of it. It'll be worth your time. ^_^

I'd say or even better yet try the demo... however the sale may end before a demo could be installed and cleared. >_<

When we talk about sports, I love to watch Snooker on tv. It`s not that common kind of sport, where the opponents nearly try to kill each other and try to break ev`ry rule, but it`s a gentleman sport where a player is very honest and tells the referee that he made a fault, even if the referee didn`t notice it!

And those DLC never seem to go on sale. You can find the game dirt cheap, but then pay a fortune for the DLC. I also don't think EA released a complete version of Dragon Age 2.

EA - Worst company ever.

To be honest I'm relatively new to digital download purchases, i made this account a while ago after discovering GoG while trying to find a copy of beneath a steel sky.

I still prefer to have the boxes (usually mailed from amazon) but nowadays they all link so steam anyway as if you purchased it from there.

I am starting to get into this site tho with the awesome community, sales like this plus no drm on any of the games, and as a bonus i found out that the site is run by my favorite developer making my most eagerly anticipated game since frontier elite 2 ! (cyberpunk 2077) so this has become my preferred medium but you have to resort to other means unfortunately for the current AAA stuff (exept CDProjekt)

I find pressing Ctrl - F5 to force a refresh works fine, although the game count remains static until you refresh again.


Also seeing as we (British) invented and codified football, I think we have the right to call it football. Association football is what Americans call it as they can't call it American football as that's what they call wimpy rugby.

You're probably getting a cached version of the page. Try Ctrl+F5 to force a complete refresh.

Ah, but the British also came up with the term 'soccer', so you've got to pick one, soccer or football ; )
