Jack is Life! Jack is Love! The Keaning is happening!

Most sales are just that: some nice deals, tons of games, some flowery marketing talk about those deals. Nothing more, nothing less. As you know, last year we ran our Fall Insomnia Promo with the usual expectations that follow a typical sale.

The Insomnia Promo was different. Very, very different. It morphed into something beyond our wildest expectations. Entire communities were staying awake for this sale. The RPG Codex was busily snapping up and all classic RPGs. 4chan's very own /v/ put aside their usual bickering about which console was best and started trying to find The Pattern (sorry guys, you didn't crack it :^) ). Meanwhile, Jack Keane acquired a cult following (JACK IS LOVE! JACK IS LIFE!) all the while collecting a flurry of 5 star reviews where gamers documented all sorts of miraculous manifestations of Jack's blessing in their lives. Lastly, the Insomnia promo garnered its own entry on our [url=http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/the_return_of_the_insomnia_sale]wishlist.

Welcome to our Spring Insomnia Sale! Back by popular demand*, we will be putting up 100 games in limited quantities** with discounts up to 90%. We'll have more games for sale than Noah had animals in his ark. Indies. Classics. Classic indies, even. All kinds of games for all kinds of gamers. However, you have to be fast, faster than those Polish script kiddies*** lurking outside our offices so they can get 0.1 ms of ping!

We did change things up a bit this year. While checking out, keep an eye peeled for a random chance to get a free game. Yes, this time there will be no more split second freebies so everyone has an equal chance :)

In this sale we all have witnessed the most dark and evil power of the universe: the Keaning! A power so evil that even Stephen King won`t dare to dream about it, he would get nightmares. American nightmares!!

gamingrn: I think Pid was between Sam&Max Devil's Playhouse and Duke 3D. So it looks like either Krondor/FTL or Sam&Max Save the World/Edna&Harvey to finish the sale (assuming no more jokes to follow like at Round 1's end).
What was the joke that happened at the end of round 1? I completely missed that round as I did not know the sale was on until after the 2nd round started.

I've lost most of my ability to write French (stopped taking courses in the language in grade 10), but I can still read and speak it. *snickers*
I've lost just about all three... and I had it in school for 5 years... XD

I can pick up some words and get some general meanings, but like most things languages are a use-it-or-lose-it deal. Would be nice if instead it was like learning to ride a bicycle...

After game 100 (Edna & Harvey), they put up Jack Keane 2 at $2.99 with 18000 copies. It stayed there for a few seconds then rapidly dissipated. Fastest seller of the sale! Some people said they bought it at that price there, but for most, it was a great laugh.

We still speak it when visiting my Mémère, and my mom still gives me grief over not using it more, but it's currently linked with work which makes me want to avoid it even more. XD
