michaelleung: Really? I thought that Japan and Hong Kong and Asia in general share more or less the same region restrictions, but I can buy MW2 on Steam (not that I'd do that).

This is what happens when Square Enix are allowed to dictate what happens to PC games over here. If it ever does now turn up on Steam, they will force an even higher price than Activision would. Just need to see their pricing policy for The Last Remnant for evidence of that =(

Oh right, Square Enix is publishing in Japan. Forgot.
Yup, fucktards that they are. I honestly can't stand the way Square Enix are fucking PC gamers around over here -- and then trying to sound to the Western press like they actually care about PC gaming!

michaelleung: Um... so Australians are having to pay $90 on Steam for a game that nobody intends to pay full price for?

$90 US yeah. The only bright side is that with the exchange rate its still cheaper than you're likely to get MW2 at retail here (unless you get a special)
Thats if you intend to buy it at all, I've got OFP2 so I'm set for classy shooters for quite a while. If i want a crap shooter I can always buy duke 3d here
