Delixe: It is a brilliant movie. It is like Dune. Uncompromising, quirky and unique.

Now, if I hadn't seen The 5th Element, comparing it to Dune would pretty much ensure that I wouldn't want to either, just saying.

hey, Dune wasn't a bad movie! Well... The trilogy version. Music was brilliant. It can't really stand to the book, that's for sure, but still...

I personally love David Lynch's Dune but then we all have different tastes. I was only comparing it to the Fifth Element in the sense it was unique not that they are similar in style or story.

I suppose Dune is a very different movie, depending on whether you see it as a dramatization of a book that you love, or just a movie (if you haven't read the book). I love the book.
