Continuing the birthday giveaway that started Here, today I have up for grabs a copy of Startopia.

RULES:

No rules today. Everyone welcome, anyone can play! (yes, you can enter on someone else's behalf)

Requirements today: Post "I'm in" and tell me what your favorite (or one of your favorites) sci-fi novel is. To get the ball rolling, one of my favorites is the Chanur series by C.J. Cherryh (she's one of my favorite authors). A really great series of books involving several different species, first contact, political intrigue, cultural evolution, and a cast of really interesting characters.

So show me the good reads, folks! Random.org will choose a winner.

As usual, I'll announce the winner when I hit the forums tomorrow morning and as an added 'bonus' I'll mark the winner with the solution to the thread for a bit of rep boost as well.

I'm in and my favorite sci-fi novel is 1984 by George Orwell because of its warning if government invades our privacy "for the good of the nation".
Not in Happy Birthday... I pretty much like ANY Sci FI novels. some of my favorites includes Asimov, Heinlein
Thanks and +1 for another great giveaway! I'll enter this time around, if I may.

This is a difficult one, but I'd say on the spot that my favorite sci-fi novel is Valis by Philip K. Dick. Pretty impossible to explain, but a fantastic read.
In for akhliber, thanks.

H. G. Wells - The Time Machine
Thanks was going to get this on tremor but missed out on it, I'm in.
Even though i don't read much, my favorite is Rama. Years ago when i bought the game it came with a free Rama book.

In and thanks! As for my favorite sci-fi novel, The Man in the High Castle. What can i say, i like my alternative/dystopian realities.
I'm in. Thanks for the giveaway!

My favorite Sci-Fi book is probably "The Giver" by Lois Lowry. Read it for school and ended up loving it. The movie is about to be released and I hope that it's as good as the book in its own way, as I know that reading a book and watching a movie are very different experiences. Also: no need of me to be scared of spoilers!
Not in, but thank you! (Anyway, Startopia really seems a great game!)

My favourite Sci-Fi novel? The Foundation Series by Asimov! Imo, it is the defining title of the genere. I know it is composed by seven novels, but I like to see them as a single, giant one. Not reading them all wouldn't make much sense!
In for akhliber.

I'm afraid I'm not much of a sci-fi reader.
I'm in for akhliber.
I'm not sure if it counts, but Metro 2033 is a great novel.
I'm in !

it's hard to choose only one sci fiction novel...
if you're looking for adventure I recommend old man's war and theirs sequels. If you're looking for something more complex, philosophical and best seller I choose Brave new world, a clockwork orange or do androids dream of electric sheep?.
Sorry for my bad english. Thank you so much for your generosity mr baggins ^^ +1
I'm in for Lugum. Thanks for yet another cool giveaway Coelocanth (+1).

An old favourite of mine is the Philip K. Dick classic Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

I'm in. Thanks for the giveaway.

One of my favorites would be Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. A movie was made last year, and it was a pretty decent adaptation. There's more books in the series that I haven't made the time to read yet.
I'm in for nicohvc :-)

very nice giveaway again!!

EDIT: forgot to say, one of my favorite sci-fi novels is The Stainless Stell Rat by Harry Harrison. He has a whole series about The Stainless Steel Rat, and they are funny and quirky :-)
