Anyone else just awful at every game they try?

BF,CoD, Planetside 2, Chivalry, Starcraft 2, tf2 and basically every other game like that, ive always been absolutely awful

i just wish i was good at something but i seem to be a total failure

anyone else share my pain?
If you have the time, then spend it perfecting your gameplay, and then you won't suck :] The adage "practice makes perfect" applies to nothing better than video games. Personally, I don't have the commitment bone for multiplayer games, so I also suck at them. However, I want to try the Warhammer online game, but again- no time.
All those games have something in common: real-time.

Try something that isn't real-time and preferably something that doesn't attract players that have short attention span.

I kind of suck at them too but I don't share your pain as I'm not motivated to win, not really much for competition and I also seem to be disturbed by unbalanced gameplay (internal or external reason doesn't matter).
*raises hand*

I solo MMO's, I play AI more in Unreal Tournametn 2k4 than players, I've never gone to a LAN, and I haven't really played an online strategy game since the first Starcraft on the original Battle.net back in the late 90's.... In other words, I've learned to cherish my single player games, and also how to just enjoy whatever I choose to play, whilst ignoring everyone else if possible, and without an obligation to be "the best".

Most people aren't all that great at multi-player though. They'd just like to think they are. Practice may hone skills, but even ones who aren't "that good" can easily take out the "best" in the right conditions. It's all a matter of cunning, strategy, and patience.

I must admit however that my fiance is a killer gamer (literally) and she could kick my ass at any multi-player. She rapes people in Blacklight Retribution, and she just laughs her head off when they call her out. "Toxic noob" is her favorite line ;) (she's been playing nearly every day since it launched free to play 2 years ag and she's level 45, and she's never spent a dime in the game store!) . She also kicks my ass at fighters, 2d or 3d, does a good job at stabbing people in the back in online Assassins Creed, and enjoys PvP in MMO's and does a good job at it too. Overall it takes the right person to be good at it. Good resolve for sure is a needed trait to succeed against real people in multi-player games

Same here. Chivalry,Planetside 2 , Warframe, Blacklight Retribution were fun for a while (especially when servers were full ie Planetside 2 early on) cause everyone was in the same boat, same level etc...Never really got beyond being a n00b myself because i didnt really enjoy the games enough to get really into them and learn how to play them properly (i really get bored easily....).Having said that i pretty much lonewolf it 95% of the time in the said games,,,
