EDIT: Nevermind, thought you meant obscure games in general...

IAmSinistar: Games I'd likely have never discovered if not for GOG, and which I am grateful to have found, include Botanicula, The Penumbra Collection, and Escape Goat. There are many more I expect to add to that list once I've had a chance to play them, like Papers Please, Shelter, Knock Knock, and Pathologic.
Papers, Please is awesome! You have no idea how many times I played the demo while waiting for the full game :D

Knock Knock is pretty cool too but it's definitely one of those games best played at night with headphones on. Even though it's done in an animated style, it still managed to send shivers down my spine a couple of times :)

Pathologic: I am still trying to crack that one...
Re-Volt, Rune, Darkstone, Silver, Total Overdose, Normality, Soulbringer, Etherlords, King of Dragon Pass, Darklands, Sanitarium, Lionheart, Die by the Sword, Gorky 17, Demon Stone, Dragon Shard, Dragonsphere and ToEE are just the highlights of the games I'd not heard of before finding GOG that are now on my shelf!

tinyE: I'll add a vague one: most of the indie titles on here. FTL, Trine
Neither of these are particularly obscure to be honest xD

FTL a bit more so and that's probably because the audience for a game like that is smaller than it being particularly more obscure, it was quite popular around release.
Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death

It's the *only* PC game developed by Rebellion I hadn't ever even heard about before I discovered it on GOG and also none of my gamer friends knew it, neither when it was new nor when I asked around after discovering it here so I presume that at least the PC version is a rather obscure game (it seems like the console versions, particularly the Xbox version, were a little more popular). And yup, the game is awesome. It's simple, it's stupid and yet it has its clever moments and most importantly it's simply FUN.

Also: Darkstone

Hadn't ever heard about it until its GOG release and I was surprised to see that it's a *really* good Diablo clone. It may not have been groundbreaking (despite supposedly introducing 3D to the genre) but it's very enjoyable, has a few very original ideas and the graphics, aside from the tiny screen resolution, hold up remarkably well. Also it has a fantastic atmosphere. If only the plot and the enemy designs were a little better.

You siss... aaaaargh! Yeah, actually I have to agree on that one. The game genuinely scared me a few times. It may not be quite as disturbing as some "real" horror games but the fact alone that I have NO idea what's going on creeps me out. Seriously, two hours in and I'm still not sure what I have to do.

The first GOG game I impulse-bought on sale, played ahead of the backlog on the strength of a fairly cool trailer, and finished, was Project Eden, a game that no one ever plays. But they should. It's fun. I mention it from time to time, to little effect.

Project Eden is a squad shooter/puzzler set in a series of deep-basement city layers. It's very much on rails, and it's very much last-gen in terms of tech, but the levels are great fun - or at least I enjoyed them. The Tomb Raider people did the level design, and the game was released in 2001 shortly after 9/11: exceptionally bad timing.

You are talking to someone who had only a vague notion of The Settlers series before I signed up here. XD Don't forget I live in the middle of nowhere.

Either way, be they obscure or not, (and I'm about to do so seriously emotional ass kissing here) GOG and it's forum has opened me up to titles and genres that I never would have before considered much less become a fan of. Icewind Dale? Fallout? Never would have touched them but now I adore them and this place is who I have to thank for that. :D

Great games all round that's for sure ^^
Forever Growing Garden (for PC, released 1993)

I can't find even a single screenshot of it on the entire web, try beating that for obscurity. It's a wonderful little game, perfect if you want something non violent for kids and live in the city with no access to a real garden. There's no action in this game and you would expect planting seeds and watching your plants grow to be extremely boring, but surprisingly it is not. Would love to get this game again for some of my friends with young kids.

Whoa - I never knew about 'In Cold Blood' until a second ago! How did I miss that? How longs THAT one been in the catalogue? Edit - just seen the dates on the reviews - since forever! Don't ever remember it going on sale either...
Also, an obscure game from the Broken Sword guys reminded me of this obscure one from the LBA guys - Time Commando:

You need to get Tension (or Void, or Tugor) from the same studio. That one is really confusing :)

Speaking for myself, I'd love to have The Void here as Ice Pick Lodge makes some of the most interesting games around :)

A hint for you :)
Check malls - you can get it for ~10 PLN. Or I can get if for you and mail it when I see it again.
But true, GOG release would be lovely. This game deserves much more recognition.
