It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I just found thanks to a twit by [url=https://twitter.com/#!/jeb_/status/192583370876780544]Jeb_.

They are aiming to create a open source client for freeware games and demos.

So far they are boasting:

Contains over 250 freeware games (and a few demos)
New games added continuously
No account or registration required

I am going to give it a try when I get back home. It may be interesting to follow it and see what happens. I would not mind having a tracker and client for free games.
No achievements, no chat, poor skin, no store, no regional pricing, no forum, no groups, no profiles... I think I'll pass ;)
And no daily sales. What's with that?

...Also, now that I've actually installed it... why doesn't the installer let me choose where to install the bloody thing? Things like that make me jumpy. It's buried itself deep in documents&settings somewhere. Raaaage!

It's doing a Chrome? Oh damnit. Of course, Minecraft does something similar, downloading most of the data to a user-specific folder when launched the first time.

LOL +1
Well - I have been playing around with it a little now and my judgement so far:

Good idea - bad implementation

The good:
- it works
- looks like it is being updated (my version now says 277 games and 28 demos)
- makes searching for free / open source games easier (though the good ones here is know from before, and not sure about how others get added)

The bad:
- not very pretty

The ugly:
- no control over where it install itself or the games (that I could find, at least)

I will still keep it on my laptop for a while, it is good for finding a game to have a short go on when bored and can't be bothered / don't have the time to start something big.
