These forums are not in any danger from any troll. So the best thing to do is nothing. If you read something you don't like, immediatelly skip it and move on. Everyone here is free to say whatever they like. It's our responsibility to move past the trolling posts. Just like in real life, you don't try to correct everyone you meet on a the streets, you just stick to your friends and have conversations with them only.

Call their bluff. In some meta way treating a troll seriously is trolling him. And you'd be amazed how often apparent trolls are just ppl that do disagree with you on substance.

Troll. One of the most overused words on the internetz. Why can't we also have categories for say goblins or orcs? If we're going to name call around here, let's at least be an equal opportunity word employer. Let's give those harpies and gargoyles a chance, too.

I realize I am for the most part liked in here but in all serious whenever a thread like this pops up I wonder if they are pointing the finger at me. I love to be obnoxious and silly and yes I do A LOT of derailing for the sake of laughs, but if I ever thought I was actually hurting the forum I'd back off in a heartbeat.

On a more serious note, we could get rid of all the bridges; destroy their habitat.

Personly, I think the term 'trolling' is a rather stupid form for namecalling. The persons accused of 'trolling' has mostly just expressed an unpopular opinion in a clumsy fashion, without using polite terms like "I think that ..." and "maybe", and typically the troll has also forgotten to add some reservations.
