Actually I would like to know what is needed to stop your account showing the 'updated' notifications at all? That would probably my favorite. Or a monthly digest as private message might be as good. But as it is it's rather annoying.

The Barefoot Essentials 2 script by Barefoot_Monkey (kudos once again, mate!) has a feature that allows you to turn off update notifications. And that's not the only extremely handy features.

This script is the best alternative at the moment.
