Atlantis series, Dracula series, Syberia 1&2, MegaRace 1-3, Moto Racer 1-3, and more Anuman games 70% off!

Here's a thing about coincidences: they happen. And when they do happen, they sometimes produce awkward outcomes. Seeing that we're offering a whole bunch of classic fan-favorite racing games, as well as some awesome adventure titles on one big sale, we decided to call the promo [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/anuman_promo_061213]Fast and Adventurous. How clever of us, isn't it? A play on the Fast and Furious movie series title and the prominent game genres in the promo--seemed just perfect. Then, a day after we approved the title and made it final, came the news: Paul Walker and his driver died tragically in a car crash. Imagine, how stupid we felt. Now, all we can do, is to assure you that we meant no disrespect and many of us are big fans of Paul Walker's the over-the-top spectacular movie series. We're going to miss the man who made such a great job of entertaining so many people.

But we're here for the games, aren't we? 20 Anuman Interactive games get a 70% off discount. Let's have a look at some of them, shall we?
So, let's start with the "adventurous". The stories of the lost land of have filled our imagination with amazing visions for ages. The adventure games fueled by those vision can set the mood for further exploration of the unknown. [url=http://www.gog.com/game/syberia]Syberia, although it can be seemingly easy located on a map, is no less mysterious and strange than Atlantis. At least in the phenomenal point-and-clicks by the visionary Benoît Sokal, it is.

If adventures aren't really your thing, and you're here for the "fast" part, you'll enjoy the classic futuristic racing titles MegaRace 1+2 and Megarace 3--all presented in oddly charming TV game-show aesthetics. There's also some of more traditional racing, with just two wheels this time, in the Moto Racer, Moto Racer 2, and Moto Racer 3 fan-acclaimed series.

That's only a part of our weekend promo. Head out to the promo page to see the whole list, pick your favorites, and grab them 70% off. The offer lasts until Tuesday, December 10, at 4:59AM GMT.

BananaJane: Dragons?
The dracula game has DRAGONS?

Now I"m interested!
The name "Dracula" derives from the Romanian word for "Dragon", I believe. I'm sure someone from Romania could elaborate on that.
Hmm nothing particularly interesting for me in this one.
A ton of those static adventures though, so if you love those you're in luck.

Apparently I don't have any games on this list, and more so I don't see any that I want or need. Hmmm... One or two familiar titles, but nothing worth getting right now.

In present time the word for Dragon is... well Dragon. Or you can go with the folklore version of "Balaur".

Dracul would today mean The Devil. Nobody would think "Dragon" in present language.

But in the past Vlad Tepes(Dracula) and his father were part of the Ordo Draconum, his father taking the name of Vlad Dracul, which at the time would mean "The Dragon".
too soon after Insomnia, resist, must wait until Christmas sale...
If you don't own the Syberia games yet, what's wrong with you? Get them, as they are great!

I'd personally also recommend at least the first Atlantis game as I quite enjoyed it, I still need to play through the others so I don't know if they are as good as I remember the first one being.
Great Promo. Megarace 1&2 will be mine... ;)
Loved Moto Racer 2 but I've heard #3 is such a step back it's not worth it, any opinions?

Also I recommend that Robin Hood title. I have it on ROM and I'd get it for the collection here if I wasn't cracked from Black Friday.

Does it have a pause button? (Yes, stupid question, but RTS scares me...) My fingers can't think for themselves, so I need that timeout option. =/

If I remember yes but that's rarely a problem because it's not an all around difficult game to begin with. Ever play Desperados? It's almost identical only with easier controls. Of course there is always the handy 'quicksave/quickload' there if you just can't get it right. :D

EDIT
The more I think about it I honestly don't know if it has a pause option. All I know is I never needed one for this game and I tend to need them for everything else.

My recommendations from this sale:

-Moto Racer
Take POD: Planet of Death, throw it on planet Earth, replace the weird looking cars with motorcycles, remove the weird storyline, and you've got Moto Racer. Great, fast paced arcade racer where you can choose from a ton of bikes, and race in the dirt or on a street. Tons of fun, and now only $1.79.

-Moto Racer 2
Just like the above, except with TONS of more tracks, and even a track editor.

Moto Racer 3? Well, I personally don't think it's as good as the originals, but it's 70% off, so if you want to try it, now's your chance to do so.

At least the first two MR games are ones you should experience if you like racing games. And right now, they're only $3.58 bought together. Highly recommended.
So, Flatout 2 next week?

I played this one many years back, before I really got the whole gaming thing, and I recall it was fun. Cross one off your wish list, and check your PM.
I went and picked up 2 titles I couldn't afford. Unfortunately this means I can't do a giveaway when I turn 1 year old next week, sorry. :-(
