iippo: Shame we dont have Dreamweb here yet :(
Dreamweb is freeware now (no, I don't mix it up with abandonware).
I finished it years ago and it's a very great game btw, people should read the printing "Diary of a madman" before playing it though, because it holds the whole story before the game. It's an essential part of the story and a shame, that it was plainly forgotten in the the last sold edition (white label).

i think you HAD to read the diary to get some password or youd be stuck ingame. I might still have it somewhere in the attic. maybe.

...i wonder why wiki lists it only as amiga / dos game though. i am pretty certain iplayed it with windows... then again thats 20 damn years ago!

Try lsomething like Vampire the Masquerade Redemption, Arx Fatalis, Silver or Betrayal at Krondor. People also seem to lose their shit over the Wizardry series.
You might also be able to get your hands on a cheap or free copy of Neverwinter Nights (the first), since it's currently given away with all The Witcher 3 pre-orders and many community members already own it. If you do, be aware that the original campaign is quite bland compared to the RPGs you've played so far. The add-on campaign Hordes of the Underdark is good though and a bit reminiscent of the Baldur's Gate games IMO, and apart from that, there are tons of excellent and freely available custom campaigns you can play, with a great variation on settings, gamelength and even gameplay - this is where NWN really shines. There are some pretty good story-telling adventures among them, with lots of dialogue and roleplaying choices.

Other RPG's you might want to consider are Spiderweb Software's Avernum series, Geneforge Saga and Avadon 1&2. I especially recommend Geneforge games as the setting is quite unique. If graphics and UI seem too archaid in first three Avernum games, you can skip to 4th game in the series as it uses newer engine (First trilogy is being remade using adabted avadon engine but for whatever reason first part that is already released hasn't been released on GOG yet). Just be ready to read LOT of text. You should look for some LP's on Youtube to see if you might like them.
