Still licensing problems ("are we allowed to release game X on platform Y"), but instead of the second licensing ("are we allowed to release an emulator and ROM/BIOS file for platform Z on platform Y"), it becomes a programming problem needing either the source code (at best just recompiling, but a much more likely case is needing to rewrite everything) or reverse engineering (try to write new game code that does what the original did, and read the original data files) ("how do we convert game X that originally ran on platform Z into running on platform Y").
I'd say trying to get a license for a ROM/BIOS file and selling an emulator is easier, and less prone to bugs.

I doubt it would cost that much these days. But then there is still a question mark over whether or not GOG could get in enough ST/Amiga games and sell enough of them to make such licensing worthwhile.

id doesn't seem completely unrealistic. If Bethesda take control of the sale of the earlier Fallout games, then id might wind up here as a result of that.
I don't know what they're going to do about the other Settlers games, but I'm sure they'll find their way here eventually.

Going back to earlier : Yeah, totally agree with denying Children of the Nile a place on gog. It was....mediocre, at best. Never got around to playing Pharoah, though...so can't really comment.

Arcanum is a must for me even though i own it and playit alot. I would love to see if GOG could get the soundtrack since it is no longer active links.
ANY Warhammer game would be great too.
F119 Stealth Fighter was one of my favorites growing up and still is too. I just wish i could play it again.

That definitely gets my vote. I played that game to death. The death of one of the CDs that is. It wouldn't read properly after a while, so I couldn't install it again.

Good choice. The original SimCity was opensourced as a gift to "One Laptop Per Child" project. It's named was changed back to it's original development name, "Micropolis", for trademark reasons.
A quick search didn't reveal any Windows binaries. The current code base is supposed to support Windows though. I'd test it but I run Linux.
If GOG were interested, I'm sure they could package a nice version.

System Shock 2 will be amazing tho its buggy as hell on XP/Vista so they need to put in some work to bring it to GoG's standards ...
One series I'd love to see on GoG is "Crusader"
Crusader: No Remorse and Crusader: No Regret are two of the best Isometric action games with a great storyline.
I'd also kill to get the whole Wing-Commander series , even 1-4 will be great , I still got them all on original CD's but its like 12~ discs for the whole series!
Getting them all on a GoG will give my joystick some much needed workout =-)

They're all EA games too. Ah, the difference EA would make to GOG if they wound up here.
