So I just started playing NWN 2 and noticed during first cutscene with your character + his father movement seemed jerky. Then I ran around a little in house and my movement was really jerky and didn't feel smooth at all. Anyway to fix this?

NWN2 has a known problem where the animations stutter like crazy if you have not rebooted your computer for a long time (days?). The workaround is to simply reboot.

There is also an unofficial "client extension" that is supposed to have a fix for this problem, but I have not tried it myself.

The client extension works wonders. Rebooting temporarily fixes some of the timing problems, but why not fix other bugs while you're at it?

I've never tried the client extension. Does it work in solo play or is it just for using in online mode?

For the OP: Try turning off shadows in options and see if that makes the game smoother.

I downloaded client extension and it fixed it for me. I see no point me in rebooting pc at time when was only on for 2 - 3 hours.

It's for everything. I use it exclusively for offline solo play, but it also makes the PW stuff work again, too.
