Hi all,

Having a problem with torches in Mysteries of Westgate. Torches just won't work, even when brand new. Anyone got any idea on how to fix this?

That is one of the very few bugs I've ever experienced with this game, and only occasionally in certain adventures. It seems like they work in some areas, and not in others. When it happens, I have to rely on a light spell or low light vision/darkvision instead.

I've had this problem in some mods (I don't recall MoW specifically) when equipping torches via the hotbar. Using the inventory window instead, and starting with a torch that was _not_ previously equipped from the hotbar, seemed to work.

I don't know whether that was just a quirk of my system (running on a Mac via Wine), but might be worth a try if you haven't already.

That is exactly my experience as well. I also think it's possible to "fix" a torch by unequipping/removing the hotbar link and then reloading.

When I exited the area and came back, the torch was then lit again as normal so pretty much the same as others here mentioned when it doesn't work, just rely on something else until you transition to a new area.
