I saw a character name while wandering around. Can't remember but i think it's connected with Gondor or something. There was also an Assassins Creed reference that made me laugh while slashing some soldiers.

Only Assassins Creed and Portal references for now. Oh, and Lethal Weapon (I'm too old for this shite).

It probably was intentional. Sapkowski's Witcher saga was always about the grain of truth at the heart of every fairy tale, and the game devs are continuing that theme. They're just updating its references with a good sense of humor and an obvious love of video games and fantasy.

Just to be clear, it's a peasant named Drizzt. Not a dark elf NPC found in the game. ;p He's just a random peasant in Flotsam.

By the way, did anyone else spot a corpse lying at the edge of the Krayan Nest area with a sheep stuffed with sulfur? Is that supposed to be Worm's reference?

For me it was an elf in act 2 in Vergen that when i clicked on him he says i killed Rivians before like all elves there
