I want to use the organs to make pots not herbs since they weigh nothing and i would rather get rid of the organs first which do take up inventory space.

The problem is, every single time you make 1 potion you have to go back in and reselect all the organs as it automatically defaults back to the herbs.
Sadly I don't think so.
This is one bloody annoying 'feature' of the game to reset the ingredients.

If at least you had the option to create multiple potions in one go...

Yeah, this would fix this annoyance!
This issue was present in Witcher 1 as well. I can't believe they kept the behaviour in W2...

Glad to hear I am not the only one who gets angry by having to change ingredients for EVERY SINGLE POTION. On the other hand it can not be too hard to fix in a patch sometime.

There may be a lot of programming and stuff involved, but a "potion save as" type thing that I could name would be a very satisfactory way to do this.
yeah, I'd have to agree. especially when it sticks things like one of a kind quest items in there!
Nope. Alchemy system is known to have brain on its own and for choosing the rarest possible ingredients so that you might never loose your precious nekker hearts.
A way to fix this would really super awesomely useful.
A mod to make multiple at once, or change to default to the ingredients you have the most of, or save pre-sets
There is a reason for this. When you brew a potion you can see what ingredients are you using, if there was an option to make 10 potions at once than maybe you would make a potion with an item you need for a quest or armor/weapon crafting. if you want to make 20 potions of the same time just spam ENTER bar ^^
in the enhance edition, we could exclude ingredients from ever being use. they need something like that or don't reset the ingredients and books read back!
I too hope for a mod to fix this. terrible feature.
For now the only way to fix this issue was for me to drop to the ground momentarily all the ingredients I didn't want to be used. This way by default it uses the ingredients that I want only.

And for when there's a quest ingredient being used (which should always be excluded) I just keep it on that tab and click my other other preferred ingredient whilst spamming space/enter.
