It's been a while since I've posted on here, and I'm sure you guys get questions like this all the time, so I'm sorry in advance.

But I really, really want to play this game. My computer runs The witcher enhanced edition pretty well, and I was wondering if it could run The Witcher 2 at all.

My specs are: Intel core i3M70 2.4 Ghz CPU
4 GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics card ( I think)
I know it's a long shot but I'd appreciate any insight you all can give me. I also heard there is a playable demo online somewhere. Is that a good measure of how the game might play? If it doesn't work, I guess I'll just have to wait until the 360 version comes out in a few months.

You need to be more specific than that.
Why don't you check the model numbers of your CPU and your graphic card with:

Speecy

or

CPU-Z

and post that numbers here, so we can help you.
Here you go: Operating System
MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i3 370M @ 2.40GHz 42 °C
Arrandale 32nm Technology
RAM
4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 532MHz (7-7-7-20)
Motherboard
TOSHIBA NWQAA (CPU) 59 °C
Graphics
Generic PnP Monitor (1366x768@60Hz)
Intel(R) HD Graphics
Hard Drives
488GB Seagate ST9500420AS (SATA) 34 °C
Optical Drives
HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT30F
Audio
Realtek High Definition Audio

I don't really care which resolution it plays on, I just want to know if it will run at all.
I've also already use Can You Run It. It said no, but it also said no on Oblivion and The Witcher, and I've been playing those for a while now.
Everything is fine except for the video card. Intel HD Graphics could mean a number of things, but it's an on-board graphics and this game is pretty demanding compared to others. I'd say buy a real graphics card if you plan on playing games, but I suppose that's a laptop. Maybe post the model. I'd guess it can run, given your other specs, but that's not much more than a guess.

This are "The Witcher 2" minimum requirements:

Processor: Core 2Duo 2.2 GHz or dual core AMD 2.5 GHz
RAM: 1 GB Windows XP, 2 GB Windows Vista/7
Graphics: GeForce 8800 512 MB or Radeon (HD3850 512 MB)
HDD Space: 16 GB

They are published at the official support page.

I think like Neant. You may fall short in the graphics area. It's a shame that we didn't get the model number of your graphic card. With a model number we can say for sure.

By your processor model I guess you have a laptop.
So, upgrade just the card is out of question, right ?
Even with the fastest Intel solution, the HD3000, you won't be able to run it decently. It'll probably run, but don't hope for more than 10fps at the lowest settings.

From notebookcheck: The performance of the graphics in 3D should be on par with a Radeon HD 4200 but the driver support is usually worse.

The HD4200 is way below minimum settings.
