Hi, I've recently been getting into the Witcher 2 (had it since release) and I found this cave area near a statue, had to use Aarden to smash open the rocks, it opens up a little entrance thing but I can't seem to jump down. Was wondering if it was a bug or something or if anyone knows how I can get inside? I can see a chest and a waterfall. I can provide further details if you want. This area is making me want to explore it.
EDIT: A thought just occurred that perhaps this area is for a quest where you need an NPC to follow you here or something.

Yep, this isn't a bug. You will end up in that cave eventually, for plot reasons, at least once (sometimes twice, depending on choices made).

You may want to go back to a save before you Aarded the rocks. This area is critical to the main quest on two subsequent occasions, and messing with it can break the main quest.

Thanks for the replies. I was worried about the Aarded rocks actually. Hopefully I won't have to reload as I did it a while ago now.

Ahh damnit! It is still bugged. I am up to the quest now where I should be able to jump down. Any idea if this will get fixed in a future patch? I don't know if I can be bothered restarting the game. Or perhaps there's a no-clip cheat I could use to get through this little area? I don't like cheats but if it will help me bypass this bug then I'd use it.

Wait, are you trying to get into the cave by jumping into that Aarded entrance? If so, that is not how you are meant to get in there... i.e. it is not a bug. You do not get into the cave yourself; it's something that just happens due to story events (mid-cutscene). The Aarded "entrance" is not an entrance at all, but an exit.

I'd be more concerned with what cjgreen mentioned, regarding having trouble later on because you broke open that exit before you were meant to. Others have mentioned it being an issue before, but that was awhile ago. EDIT: Just checked with my husband, who played the game the same time I did back in January. He broke the wall early on, before the story brought him there, but it didn't cause any issues later on for him. So maybe you won't have problems with that either, who knows.

Ah ok thanks! Yes I was trying to enter via the Aarded entrance. By the way I'm after some flower at the moment that Triss requested. I thought it was in there but I guess not. I should keep looking then. This is good news.
