I'm having a weird problem, first off here's how my configurator looks, different then others.

I have GOG version downloaded it recently and patched it fully.

Problem is if I change any setting in configurator from auto detect one it will make my graphics look like this: http://i.imgur.com/hxyVx.jpg

Any! I tested it a lot and put rain for example which I know doesn't happen and same things happens. I'm not happy with auto detect ones, I want to remove/change some things and it looks fine there but if I change anything this happens.

I have amd 4870x2 with latest drivers, tried turning off catalyst ai and that did nothing. My cpu is Q9450 at 3.2GHz and 4gb ddr2. It worked fine a while ago but I reinstalled it since then and a lot of patches and EE came.

Finished witcher1 this morning and hoped to continue playing but... :\
And what's the general consensus, kb+mouse or controller, which is better?

Controller rocks on Witcher 2,

"Witcher 1"not withstanding.
You are running in Crossfire? Maybe try disabling Crossfire just to see if that fixes the problem. Some games have issues with Crossfire (for example, The Witcher 1) but I'm not sure about The Witcher 2. It's possible you might be able to get Crossfire working properly but for now just see if disabling it helps.
I'll try, reinstalling as I type this, taking forever.
But I do remember that they added hotfix driver for witcher 2 and profile for crossfire.

But it's weird, normal settings ok, change ANY thing nope, doesn't work all goes to shit.

Yeah that is weird... perhaps the install was messed up and the reinstall will fix it. Also if you are reinstalling you might try installing and running as admin and/or changing the install location to somewhere other than Program FIles.
Reinstalled as administrator hopefully it will work now. Another thing that happened before I had to run some registry tool because launcher wouldn't start.
Anyway, gonna try tomorrow dead tired now and not looking forward to possible disappointment so I'll hope its ok until later :D
Yep, reinstall fixed it alright, sorry for taking everyone's time, was some weird install bug I guess.
Glad you got it working, enjoy the game!
