Hi all,

Just trying to register my copy of the TW2 (GOG download) through the launcher, but each time I try to create a new account it says:
"Connection error: check your network connection".

My connection is fine and it is the same with firewall on/off. I don't have any antivirus running either.

Any suggestions?

The system is offline atm but should be back soon:

We ask for a little bit of your patience while we make some adjustments and optimizations to the servers hosting The Witcher 2.

Planned time of the downtime: 23:30
Planned downtime: 40 minutes

Problems that may occur:
- new users won't be able to register the game
- users won't be able to download the DLCs (lang packs, patch, addons)

Affected:
- all users

We apologize you for any inconvenience and will do our best to bring back the services working ASAP. UPDATE - 00:16CET: We are currently moving over 1 million files to the new folders structure on the server which will speed up the filesystem a little bit. This takes longer than anticipated but we are working hard. BTW USA, how's the weather?"

According to CDP's FB profile, they're going through some maintenance and optimisation. The servers are shut down for a while, should be back on in a jiffy.

Those times are not going to be kept. From FB:

Niestety przerwa się nieco wydłuży. Obecne przenoszonych jest ponad milion plików na serwerach, by przyspieszyć pobieranie paczek z DLC.
Translation: Regretfully, the shutdown will take a bit longer. At the present moment over a million files are being transferred to the servers, to ensure better DLC download times.

I still have this problem. The rare moments that the launcher can establish a connection, I'm not able to download anything (trying to get the DLC). Well, it says "downloading" but nothing really happens until I get either the error "unable to write file" or "connection error"and the connection's gone again. If anyone has any ideas, I could use some…
