Hey, I was just wondering whether there was a semi-official or fan-patch that uncensored the Australian Enhanced Edition? Would older patches work still?

Also if I registered my code here, would that give me an international version anyway?

Thanks for the answers! :)
I really want to know this as well... I do NOT want to find out I'm stuck with a gimped version of this game.
AFAIK since the DRM removing patch (which was out some time ago) all PC versions of TW2 are equalized. Since previous patches should be included in the EE I see no reason why censorship should remain an issue.

Just to be sure, before registering/buying your GOG version change your location to other than "Australia". There was an issue with GOG being forced by legal restraints to provide Australians with the Australian version, however at that point they've conveniently decided not to check your location in any way other than you providing the info ;-)
I'm a bit confused because my shelf contains the enhanced edition boxart and downloads with a big fat (AU) next to it already and I haven't done anything.

So If I change my region to anywhere but AU, then enter my product key to redeem my backup copy of EE, I'll then have access to the uncensored version?
Um, I thinkt that the GOG backup is only for people owning TW2 that was not bought on GOG already - boxed versions or other digital distribution. So if it's on your shelf already it's there to stay.

But, again, I'm pretty sure the censorship was removed as patching went along. If I were you I'd ask on the official TW2 forums.

EDIT: Scratch that, seems that my info is out of date. Here's the story: http://en.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?/topic/28791-the-witcher-2-enhanced-edition-censored-or-uncensored-in-australia-plz-help-me/page__p__793671__hl__australian__fromsearch__1#entry793671

I was afraid you were going to say that.

The version I have right now is clearly marked as Australian, and that version IS censored.

I am so disgusted at my backwards-ass government right now... I feel profoundly screwed over.

Edit: That thread is old, isn't a complete fix and and doesn't say anything about compatibility with EE. :/

Try installing the game and see if you have those two files in the cookedPC folder: elf_fltsam.dzip and succubuss.dzip

I can confirm that in my uncensored Polish EE version both files are there. If you are missing those files, please send me a PM, we'll arrange something ;-)
Cheers, I'll have to get a local friend to try it with his copy (bought at the same time) when I can. I haven't touched TW2 since 1.0 actually, my little PC just wasn't up to the task and I've been saving redownloading the game for when I put together a new system.

That and the download is now so large it's almost a third of my monthly download cap!
Hope you upgraded, sadly many users report a performance hit from the EE, including this one :-( But I have faith in CDPR, they patched TW1EE for performance, I'm sure they're working on this one as we speak. Well, maybe not so late at night.

The real question is... what are you doing about it?
Have you sent a letter/e-mail to your representative?

Also, on a actual subject, have a read here:

According to that link "TW2EE will technically replace TW2 in our catalog, so the "rest of the world" version of TW2EE will replace your version of TW2."

Does that mean the EE is a universal patch same all around the world that will rollback any region specific changes? This is so confusing. :P
