I can't launch the game and get the window witcher2.exe - Application Error

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to to close the application

I have the same problem, i have download the game twice and installed it 4 times and still same tings happens :S

Same here. I had the game on Steam, and I through it was their fault.
I run through all the solutions I could found on the net, but couldn't fix it.
I'm on a Vaio Laptop, bought a year ago.

I'm really upset. I have uninstalled and installed like 3 times and I keep getting Application Error 0xc0000005. I have the retail CD i just bought.

Have any of you contacted CDProjekt RED support?
If you got the game on GOG, have you contacted GOG support?

Lucky you, on win7 I don't even get an error code to work with, the launcher just crashes.

I love you, and the OP of that thread. Forever. I tried his solution, and it worked! Now I can finally start playing!

CDP now has an official hotfix for this very issue and is reportedly working on a patch.
