Hey guys- long time fan and purchaser of GOG products, first time poster. In short I recently decided to purchase the Witcher and was blown away, it's newly one of my favorite RPG series. I decided to buy the Witcher 2 and looked into whether or not my computer could run it. Mine was right on the line, meeting all the requirements, except that I had an integrated graphics card. I was able to skate through many other modern games before and I honestly have no care for what the game looks like, I just wanted it to run smoothly.

Here are my specs:
Windows 7 64 Bit SP1
AMD Phenom II N620 Dual Core Processor 2.80GHZ
AMD M880G with Ati Radeon HD 4250 with 2 GB Hypermemory
4 GB DDR Ram

The Witcher 2 2.1
Downloaded most recent ATI hotfix and driver
Disabled/reduced to minimum all graphics options
Reduced Resolution, ran game in a window
Turned off Anti-Aliasing, Adaptive Anti-Aliasing, and Anisotropic Filtering in Catalyst Control Center

Now, I realize that I don't have a very impressive computer, and it was pretty foolhardy for me to purchase this game in the first place, so I'm just looking for any kind of help you guys can give me to get this game to a playable framerate, whether it's overclocking safely, a mod to make the game more optimized for lower-end PCs (that I haven't found yet, but would love to, lol), etc.

Much appreciated.

I do not think you can make the game playable on that computer. The GPU is nowhere close to the practical minimum, let alone the specified minimum.

If this is a tower model with a PCI-e x16 slot, you can upgrade to a suitable GPU.
Unfortunately it's a laptop.

These appear to be the best settings for a sub-minimum GPU: windowed mode (in the Options, disable "Fullscreen"), 1280x720, and low settings. If that makes the game playable for you, good. If not, you may be SOL.
I don't really think you'll be able to run it. I struggle to get my laptop to play at reasonable frames (even with everything on low and 800*600) and its got an ATI 4570.

But hey, if anyone's got any good advice, I'm all ears.

Ah, alright guys. I just figured some tech genius would have rigged up a solution by now for low end computers, considering there's a really devoted community around here and I've heard that this game is somewhat poorly optimized for anything but powerful gaming rigs. Thanks anyways
