I'm holding off on building a new rig until ivy bridge and nvidia 600 series is out (hopefully q1-2 next year) but given the very good deal on this game, I am wondering how well it would run on what I currently have;

AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core BE 2.5Ghz
Nvidia 8800 GT 1GB
4Gb Ram
Native screen res is 1680x1050. Though I'd be ok with lowering it by 25% (1260x786 i think that is).

If I lower everything to low and possibly tweak a bit further with ini files, would this run at 45-60 fps? (45 being lowest I'd be ok with).

Thank you for any insight :)

yes i have 2 computers (new and old(its kinda like the one you have a bit better) and if you do tweak it for a while it should be playable at most areas. Note that act 3 will lag (sadly). No idea why and i could not fix it on my old computer.

But it should run smooth overall aslong as you are okey with the lowest graphics and other removed options.

If you really want that frame rate, you will probably need to set low graphics and reduce your resolution. That's a hard frame rate to get with a near-minimum graphics card and an extra-slow CPU.

The game plays well if you keep the frame rate in the 30's, though. You might be able to get that frame rate on Medium. (I do, with an 8800 GTS 512 at 1440x900).
I know the promo is over but until next time if you didn't buy it do buy it and just wait until you have a decent computer (it's worth it!!!) or try this mod:
http://www.witchernexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=181

It will let you change a lot of the settings in-game but more precise. This way you could always achieve better eye candy/performance ratio or leaning towards one or the other. :)
Grab it, its on sale again. Got mine for 18€ just now...its ridiculous. Even if you have to turn down a few settings you do not need 40fps+ to have a fluid gaming experience, its not a shooter. Doubt it'll get much cheaper.
Yeah I decided to get it, will test it this coming weekend and post how well it runs :)
For those who want to know:

Just setting settings to 'Low' and screen res to 1280xsomething and it runs at 40-45+ fps for me. Definitively fully playable, and above 30 fps much smoother than most games.
In your opinion my PC is able to run this this game?

- Intel Core i3 CPU M350 2.27 GHz
- Nvidia GeForce 310M (1024MB DDR3)
- Memoria Ram 4 GB

My concern is about the Graphic Card which I think is not powerful enough even if I checked on Can You Run It and it's said that this Graphic Card does it.

In your opinion?

The 310m is definitely the weak point. "Can You Run It" gives all sorts of bizarre results, because it does things like look at graphics memory but not graphics processing power.

The 310m has only 16 shaders, while the practical minimum to get the game to run at all is at least 32, the desirable minimum is at least 96, and the stated minimum (8800 GT 512) is 112. (That's nVidia-design shaders; ATI/AMD-design shaders are different.)

If you want to try it, be prepared for shaky performance at low settings and low resolution. For some reason, this game seems to do well in windowed mode, 1280x720 on low-end graphics cards.

Thank you for answering. You confirm my suspects about it and I think definitively not to try until I will have a PC able to run it: now it's not worth.
