Oh well downloading the full install now....

TheJoe: Do not let the installer continue after pack0.dzip, click ABORT to roll back the changes, now delete TW2EE_Patch-1.bin, run the launcher and redownload the patch. Keep doing it until dzip works. If you do not abort at the dzip stage you will have to reinstall The Witcher 2 entirely.

If you're on a slow connection, you're gonna have to wait for an official solution.
Unfortunatly for me after the abort the launcher simply won't start up.
pack0.dzip is 10gbs or so, so TW2EE_Patch-1.bin is only a part of the whole file... this might be easy to fix if the error is in the tw2ee_patch-1.bin... cdpr should just post the file on its site or just make the patcher download the correct one.

Just in case i stopped downloading the file until it's sorted out so i won't screw my installation

TheJoe: Don't panic too much. pack0.dzip is corrupted for some people, why? Who the hell knows?

Anyway, I've done some digging and pack0.dzip appears to be in TW2EE_Patch-1.bin, what does that mean? You do not have to redownload the whole game!

I would suggest that you don't try to install the patch. My whole installion of the game fried . Luckily I have the boxed version too, so maybe I can just install the game from there and try to patch it again.

the problem is the file in the patcher...So even if you re-installe and redownload the patch, you will get the same problem.

Also trying this - have the same problem as everyone else.
It sounds like there's a problem with one of the files in the patcher; the GOG.com version, if you download it from your shelf, does not have this issue.

We've let RED know (and, of course, their forums have already lit up with this), and they're working on a fix as soon as they can get it out to you guys.

Sorry about this.
Same problem, tried to rollback but now the launcher won't execute at all, /fail sadly
Horrible horrible horrible quality testing. Downloaded the pre-release EE patch and then getting a corrupt file error when it goes live? Now have to wait the freaking 10 hours it's will take to re-download the whol ething!

GoG, you or CD Project Red owes me something for making me waste my time with this buggy BS after all the hype.

A horrible black mark on such a great track record.
I got the exact same issue with pack0.dzip error...i pressed Abort, game said something like "rolling Back changes" ...now i start up game and all i get is startup screen without any text....Help...what a let down

Probably, but it will save me from downloading at least 5 GB until it's solved.

EDIT: And maybe I should just go to sleep. Horrible typos in every post today. XD

I suggest anyone with the issue to add there key to the free GOG backup version, i just did and am now downloading the EE in 1 go at 15.6gb.

http://www.gog.com/en/witcher2/backup

Saves having to redownload the game via my purchase place and then redownloading the fixed patch.

i cannot try it right now but someone could try to download .exe and part 1 directly from

http://en.thewitcher.com/ee_manual/

overwrite the 2 files that the pre-downloader downloaded and try to install the patch again
I just ignored the file and continued. The text in the main menu is invisible but you can still see it if you hover your mouse over it.
I just started the tutorial with this and i can play the game in disco mode now xD
I really dont know how to explain what the game looks like right now but it's awesome with flickering blue and red lights everywhere xD
