So unfortunately I can't seem to get a screenshot of this problem (if anyone has a way to get a screenshot without steamworks overlay, I'm all ears.) but I'll describe it as best as as I can since is it's REALLY annoying and basically makes the game unplayable.

Many light objects are visible through the environment (ground, buildings, hills etc.) including, and most frustratingly even the sun. It basically makes playing the during the night (in-game time) unplayable because of a large, soft-blurred white circle that takes up most of the screen.

However, torches and candles are sometimes visible as well, but the main culprit is the sun. It's most noticeable after meditating from day to night.

OK, so here's the kicker. I had the exact same problem towards the end of The Witcher 1 in many levels, so I'm wondering if it's a problem with my computer setup. Has anyone else even seen the bug?

Again, sorry I can't get a screenshot, I'd be more than happy to get one if someone lets me know how. Also, I don't see why it should matter but I'm playing the Steam version.

EDIT: Well it looks like I can't reply to my own question so as soon as someone else replies I will post my system specs.

You can edit your post to add the system specs.

This was a problem in the early days of the game with SLI, and there was a similar problem with some driver versions and Crossfire. More recent drivers have a good SLI profile, and the Crossfire bugs have been fixed.

First, make sure you have up-to-date patches and drivers.

Also, make sure you are not trying to force any settings in nVidia Control Panel or AMD"s CCC. Where a setting has an "application controlled" value, make sure that is the value chosen.

If you are running Crossfire or SLI, use Alternate Frame Rendering.
What a weird issue! But that worked flawlessly, thanks!

P.S. the nvidia profile for TW2 is set to "alternate frame 2" I changed it to "alternate frame 1" and that's what fixed it.
