Same thing happened to me, never got the quest from the fisherman since both of my options failed and was unable to get my stuff back. Forced to reload an earlier save and waste 30mins of rather frustrated play. :(

With Margot, it is easy to walk in the room, not see her and assume she is not there. She just isn't conspicuous by being on her feet walking around or sitting in a chair. She is laying on her bed sleeping. When I woke up on the beach stripped down to my skivvies, I groaned myself at losing everything again.

Yeah, I missed her on the bed at first, since the bed is behind a screen and I didn't walk all the way into the room the first time. However, if the quest is not completable because you both fail the bribe and fail the intimidation check, that does need to be fixed.

I'm pretty sure I went the bribe route. I remember I saw a recommended bribe of 60 Orens for Margot for something or other and I gave her 53, which worked. Forgot where I saw that and for what reason.

I intimidated the fisherman, and bribed Margot for 31 orens. But I meant if you fail both the bribe and intimidation with the fisherman.

Oh. I forgot what happened with that. I did an uninstall and reinstall of my game last night to see if I could straighten out some kinks ( retained my save files of course ) and then couldn't register it, and by default of that, couldn't play it. Finally got it fixed earlier today and got the 1.1 patch and everything and all is good. Wouldn't recommend trying that as it is a pita. As I said, I forgot how I handled the fisherman when I woke up on the beach. I think I was in shock and disbelief that I had lost all of my stuff again. : )

Patcher says that I'm all up to date, but Rudy still doesn't have this conversation option to get my stuff back (failed first bribe attempt). Is there any way to re-initiate the quest so that I can get my stuff back? My last save is sadly way back in the game, I'm basically screwed now because I can't get my stuff back due to a bug...
