One of the BEST rpg's ever, the game world is so detailed you get lost in it. Blows away other RPG's from big name devs (Bioware cough). Amazing. DONT ever change cd project.

The title of this thread is exactly what I have thought since I finished it. I find no other words to describe the experience and I feel that if I did have other words I would lie to myself and others. The experience is just too profound, for me, for accurately describing it. So, I will leave it at: "Man, Is This Game Incredible"

It debuted at #5 on the UK charts. That's impressive but even more so when you consider it's up against totals based from games on consoles & PCs. It even becomes more astounding when you consider the fact none of the charts track digital downloads, a very healthy medium through which many order their games.

This may top what Bioware dreamed of for DA 2 (hah!), and hit 4-5 million within a year. No joke. Can't wait to see world wide sales data.

But in case of Witcher 2 I just do not know what to write because nothing would do the game justice. Just, man, this game was incredible..

I hope CDPR would share with us soon how many copies were sold exactly as I'm eagerly anticipating it.

This game is incredible indeed. CD Projekt Red delivered big time.

Dragon Age 2 still searches for its button of awesome {answer: there isn't any} but Witcher 2 is a GAME of awesome.

This game is a masterpiece. After patching in some minor issues it will be a legendary game and it may set new trends in the gaming industry.

PC gaming is dead? The Witcher 2 screams NO!!!
Mindless console button-mashers is all that gaming has to offer? Hell NO even if we are talking about a single game among an ocean of stupid games.

The Witcher 2 is more than a game in my opinion. It may become a turning point in the direction of gaming industry.

Don't be surprised if you see an old-school RPG clone announced a few months later.
Don't be surprised if Dragon Age 3 has a LOT of old-school RPG elements.
Don't be surprised if you see an increase in PC exclusive graphical marvels that push the technology forward.
Don't be surprised if you see more hardcore games coming out.

And all this because of a single game. "Man, is this game incredible" is spot on.

BiowEAr already tried to emulate the Witcher. It's the reason why DA 2 took such a drastic in game type. They would fair no better with another attempt.

I do think, however, that if BiowEAr returns to its roots, its next DA offer will do better than DA 2. I don't believe, though, it will do as good as DA:O or the Witcher (1 or 2) because so much damage has been done to their reputation.

They lost A LOT of fans, fans who had been with them for a number of years. Count me as one and a whole host of others if their forums are to be any judge.
As for my opening title, everything I tried to come up with did the Witcher 2 no justice. That was as close as I could come. :)

I don't think EA/Bio thought about anyone. Neither did they consider those who supported them through purchases would become so vocal in their contempt for the completely dumbed down and pitifully crappy DA2.

They simply figured 'those idiots will buy anything' . Let's give them some clothing and charge for it! YAY! Watch the dollars roll in?

Fans can be fickle indeed even though I really enjoyed DA:O I've had enough of their gimme gimme all your hard earned cash because we are great and you are stupid. PFFFT

Yea I'm happy for them. Especially how they went the DRM free route with the GOG version. I really wish the best for CDP RED and GOG.com because it means that I get to play more enjoyable and epic games in the future that is not dumbed downed for the masses. DA-2 a a load of crap. I played the demo and lost interest in it. Maybe if they hadn't release a demo, people wouldn't realize it was crap and they would've sold more LOL.
