I'm currently looking for a new desktop and I was wondering if I could get some advice.

I have 3 questions:

Are these desktops good enough to run witcher 2 at a decent level?

www.wehkamp.nl/computer-telecom/laptops/FG8/739897/C31_6F4_FG8_739897/?KW1=485879&PRmin=245&PRmax=2000 &KAPRmin=24500&KAPRmax=200000&F=1,2,3,17&SM=4

I think I can get this one at 499 euro

Or this one(599 euro)from Medion(?):

AMD FX-8120 8-core
AMD Radeon HD7450
4 GB memory
1 TB hard drive

2 If so, which one is better?

3 Do they offer a good enough value for money?

Just to make sure: I'm not looking for a gaming rig that can play every game for the next 3 years on maximum settings. I'm just looking for a PC that can run current games on non-awful settings, and is also good at playing some older CPU-heavy games.
I know next to nothing about PC's(I'm more a console guy), and I definitely won't put one together myself. I know it might be cheaper, but it is not for me.
If these desktops suck, just let me know, and if you happen to know one which is better for the same price even better.

Oh, and the first site is Dutch, but I think you should be able to understand what's in it. If not, or you just don't want to bother then let me know and I'll try to "translate".

Thank you for reading this far even if you don't have anything to say. Also, I'm not English and this is my first post so please have mercy on me.

I couldn't recommend either.

The Witcher 2 requires a beast of a GPU to perform well. The CPUs in those units are adequate, but the GPUs are not even entry-level gaming GPUs.

If you're buying a computer with the intention of playing The Witcher 2, you should be looking for a minimum of an HD 6770 (in AMD) or a GTX 550 (in nVidia), and preferably a 6850, 6950, 560, or 560Ti. You will find few of those in retail prebuilt computers; a local computer shop that does customization would serve you better.

The CPU is less critical; even a Core i3 2120 is good enough.

No need to plead for mercy for your English - it's considerably better than most Americans'.

The decision is mostly a matter of graphics card. Of the two options you gave, the 6570 is the one to get - but that isn't saying much. Neither are going to run W2 on anything but very low settings. Not that W2 looks unplayably awful on the lowest settings, but you'll miss out on a lot. I would very strongly suggest getting a computer with a better card, or, if nothing else, selling the included card and putting the money towards a better card. (They're very easy to install.)

I'm on a budget and 600 euro is already a very large amount to spend for me(I was only going to choose that one if it was way more cost effective to do so).
I basically chose these two because they were the only ones that didn't have onboard graphics (I've been told those are completely inadequate) in this price range in nearby stores.

Furthermore, witcher 2 has by far the highest system requirements of the games I'd like to play now and in the near future with the possible exception of the witcher 3 if/when it comes out. I am a console guy after all and the majority of PC games I do play are old ones.

Might it be best to wait a few months longer so the prices will drop? I AM looking to get my old extreme budget PC replaced since it's getting unreliable, but I would really like to be able play the witcher 2 on a decent(not ultimate or even high) setting.
In that case, yes, I'd suggest waiting a few months, and if possible, saving some extra money for a better gpu. You might find this article handy for getting an idea of what to look for in various price ranges.
Ok, thank you very much. I will keep using this antique for a while and wait until the prices drop a bit before I buy a new one. I was really looking forward to playing some games without playing on the bare minimum(yes, it has trouble playing the more demanding older games) but that will have to wait a while then.
