Can i transfer save game of non gog version of The Witcher [not steam version, the regular dvd version], to a gog version of The Witcher 2?
Do you think the save transfer worth it? What does it change in the second game?

I played the witcher but deleted the saves because i didnt know about the transfer.

Thanks! :)

Yes, you can import TW1 saves to TW2 just as long as you have your TW1saves in the right folder.

Importing your save means you'll have your armor and weapons from TW1 at the start of TW2 (and also a bit of coin). There also a couple of references reflecting consequences of choices you made in TW1.

The save importing feature is neat and everything but in the grand scheme of things i'd say it's largely irrelevant.
Ok, thank you.
Started playing, what an amazing game! the visuals are stunning.

Is there any way to know if im tracking a main quest or a side quest?
I noticed that there are flags to the left of some of the quests plus there is a "v" on some of them.

What does the flag mean, and the "v"?
Yeah, it does looks great. Sounds great too, the soundtrack is incredibly good ;)

Regarding the quests in your journal: a 'V' means a sucessfully completed quest, an 'X' means a botched quest. You can choose which quest to track on the minimap by double clicking on its entry in your journal. The quest being currently tracked is the one with the orange icon on it.
